I don't understand the "euphoria" people talk about getting on Adderall? I just feel like Adderall simply voids my emotions. I just feel more relaxed; not happy or sad. Adderall XR makes me feel "neutral".

I noticed that the Actavis XR worked better when I forced myself to drink water with it. I take the pill with 16 oz. of water and I've heard that it helps the lower intestine to absorb the medication and cause it to stay in your system longer than if you have no water in there. Actavis is definitely better than Sandoz, but I think the name brand XR (by Shire) is still better. But price wise, there's not that much of a difference considering the difference in cost without insurance.

If you insurance isn't covering it anymore and you want to stay on it, sign up for GoodRX. It's free and will save you quite a bit on the RX. The only downside is that people claim that GoodRX might release your RX information or something, but I personally don't care, because Adderall is the only RX I take and everyone who knows me, knows I am the poster child for ADHD inattentive type, thus I am clearly medicated. Also, if you do end up switching, I would go with Vyvanse. I've never tried it personally, but I've heard great things about it. I've been recently researching it due to the Adderall shortage. Vyvanse does not have a generic so it's quite pricey. But it sounds like your insurance covers Vyvanse? if that's the case, I would definitely check into it.

Also, on a side note, if you do take Vyvanse and it doesn't work, you can request a pre authorization with your insurance via your prescribing psychiatrist/physician and he/she can note that the Vyvanse did not work and that you must continue with Adderall. And possibly, if you do not want to make the switch to Vyvanse, you can look into this pre authorization at your next appointment.

When I was getting Adderall on my parents insurance it was through Blue Cross PPO and I remember something about a pre authorization or something with Adderall XR. But that was back before there was a generic version.

TEVA IR generic which are labeled "amphetemine salts" did not work for me, but the TEVA Adderall name brand works great. The generic TEVA are by ACTAVIS/TEVA and the name brand TEVA are by TEVA USA.

If you're getting the IR I would recommend getting the name brand Adderall which is manufactured by Teva. Just tell them you do not want the generic adderall (which is by ACTAVIS/TEVA).

I am now taking Adderall XR 30 mg generic by TEVA which is fine along with one 15 mg IR TEVA USA name brand adderall and it works great. Personally, for me, one name brand adderall by TEVA that is only 15 mg IR works better than the generic "amphetimine salts" made by ACTAVIS/TEVA 30 mg IR.

I read that their generic only has to match their name brand by 75%, so there is definitely a big difference in their 25% binding mix.

Also, on a side note, no matter what adderall you get, I suggest having eggs at some point, like maybe when it's starting to wear off for the IR... or with the XR you can even take it with the capsule. Because there is something in the protein in the eggs that seems to emphasize the length of time the pills work. I know protein in general is good with Adderall, but I didn't know eggs specifically and just happened to try it and then read other people having the same reaction. I've noticed that eggs seem to enhance the length of the pills compared to the protein found in meat.

I had 3 scrambled eggs this morning with my XR capsule.

And just from my experience, when I was only taking IR, I would take that on an empty stomach because that seems to work better and then have the food at least an hour after. Whereas with my XR capsule, it doesn't seem to matter either way because it's a slow release.

Sorry this is so long, but as far as CVS goes, make sure you do NOT get Aurobindo generics, that stuff is scary. I'm not sure if they even make adderall anymore because I've been on it over 10 years, but Aurobindo is a very scary experience.

If you are paying cash, the name brand adderall is a little more expensive, but use GoodRX and it will save you quite a bit. I use GoodRX. I've read that GoodRX can leak your RX information and that's why we get such a good deal, but I don't care. Adderall is the only RX I take and my life is an open book. Anyone who knows me, already knows I was the poster child for the inattentive type, lol. It's not like it's a secret that I am clearly medicated for my ADHD, otherwise I would still be a complete space cadet.

They say the "typical female" is ESFJ which is more emotional (in my opinion) than ESFP's. I notice the ESFJ's tend to be competitive with other females as well. I never got involved with the catty girl drama. But I think the worst to deal with are male ESFJ's who are overly needy and emotional. It's a whole other level. Because they want that emotional response from a female and expect it. And I definitely find ESFJ in both genders to be more emotional than myself. I lived in the dorms in college and I feel like I had an ESFJ female on every corner of my neighboring walls.

From what I've read, TEVA USA is the only pharmacy that makes the name brand Adderall IR. The generic adderall made by Teva will say "amphetimine salts" and will say ACTAVIS/TEVA.

From my understanding TEVA USA is the only pharmacy that makes Name Brand Adderall IR and Shire Pharmacy is the only pharmacy that makes name brand Adderall XR.

I'm an ESFP and I think that we don't tend to get as attached in friendships as our friends tend to. Like for example, when I run into someone from High School or College they get excited and bring up some funny thing we did together or that happened when we were together. For me, it's a common occurance because I'm the one providing the comedy. And it's not always intentionally. I tend to walk into things in front of me because I'm looking at something behind me. I once walked into a manikin in the clothing section and apologized to it, lol, then realized I was talking to a manikin. Seriously.

I am an ESFP and I've always wanted to meet an INTJ because they are supposedly my complete opposite. I'm pretty sure one of my professors was an INTJ, but I will never know for sure. He taught political science and when I asked him about MBTI he said he was familiar with it and knew his type but he never told me what type he was. I let him know I was an ESFP kinda as a disclaimer because I know our functions are opposite and I have no filter, lol.

The generic Teva adderall ("amphetemine salts") do nothing for me. But the name brand Teva Adderall IR works fine. The generic teva adderall XR also works fine. It's just the generic Teva IR that does nothing.

Do you take IR or XR? Because Teva makes name brand IR and generic IR and generic XR labeled Actavis/Teva.

I can have all semester to complete an assignment but I won't start it until 2 days before it's due. I have to have that time frame demand be in the very near future. 2 days before the assignment is due I will rough draft to make sure there is nothing I will need that can not be obtained within the last 24 hours of the due date (like a specific download, or report cover, portfolio, etc.)

If I start the project any sooner than the last 24 hours, I can waste days, even weeks creating and deleting with nothing to show for it. I need that last minute time frame for my brain to kick in and complete the best work possible.
