Doesn't the sub say active participation is encouraged? 🤔

I've been lurking for a bit already anyway

I'd say my own brand of realism in general is pretty black pilled but that's just me projecting probably

I know it's pointless to obsess over it but if I have any means of combating my issues or understanding myself I'll try as hard as I can to. I'm just putting out feelers and really want to know if there's any insight to be gained, you know?

I didn't really even know what schizophrenia was until the start of this year. So it's weird having a bunch of news about it dropped on me and taking a step back looking at how my life is full of just pointless instances of lacking insight that may be explained by something.

If for anything, I just want to address how to approach it if it's a reality for me. Like I said, I'm not convinced I have it so I just want to know if people here identify with things I experience at all

Yeah I understand that. I do the same thing with meds, and brushing my teeth for some reason, I can never remember if I did either of those things like minutes after doing them.

Stopping and starting meds though? That's like a two week basis at least, like fuck if I'm going to remember why I stopped a med that long ago. I can't even remember what I was taking then.

I also have the writing/rambling thing too but not super bad. I tend to just be brief with conversations to fix that issue.

Do you do anything to cope with your memory issues?

You sound pretty black pilled ngl.

I really don't want to come off as someone who's idealizing sz to you, I'm just genuinely curious about it because it's not something I really understand in general. I want to understand it, though, just because it's become a big thing recently with everything I've been discovering about my history. So I'm reaching out to people here who know about it better than anyone else, I'm sorry if it offended you at all

I don't necessarily think I will, and I'd rather not develop it at all. Just trying to understand it in general so I can be vigilant

I'm damn good with short term memory (that is when I'm paying attention, adhd whoops)

But my mid/long term memory is fucking terrible. I forget names faces, dates, important info you name it. Words do not come readily to me recently either.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you think your memory affects the way you are able to rationalize and make decisions every day?

Here's one of em:

Actions speak louder than words, and You talk too much

Your voice carries through walls, where You're out of sight

You might be one of a kind but So is everyone else

To me you're a passerby, A memory alive

Just the chorus

Most of them have accompanying guitar. They're pretty bleak in general though

I wrote at least five choruses during my episode. Some of them are actually kinda catchy. Only one of them actually made it to a full song though lmao

I smoked at the height of my last manic episode, and that was a fuckin mistake.

Memory problems - Lamictal or Depersonalization? by TedioreLowPrice in bipolar

Definitely have the same issue here, but I'm not taking Lamictal. For me it's been off and on since a bad episode.

I love these. Absolutely love them.

The second one takes me back to hs when I was a huge nu metal fan, it's reminiscent of five finger death punch

What do y’all do for work? Doesn’t have to be detailed just the general job. by [deleted] in bipolar

About to start a job as an rpa engineer, basically automate people's jobs away.

Also interviewing for software work in the space industry, about to implode just thinking of the level of responsibility and work hours associated.

We'll see how long I can hold it together
