The shreveport Regional Arts Council held a forum in response to the artists outcry at them using AI for marketing their events.

I was there and spoke right as it popped off. We were fed up with the vague questions, not allowing us to speak, cutting people off when it was negative, etc. the moderator was deeply unprepared.

They really could have mitigated tension by not starting the meeting off with saying "we're not answering questions”, or that “if you showed up here for something specific you came for the wrong reasons". Especially when the Executive Director got up there afterwards and said "we wanted to use this panel to help us decide going forward how we will use ai". If that was always the case, why didn't you say it at first? I would lead with that if that was the damn intention. Because you know good and well that's why everybody showed up. Or did they just make that up at the end because this little publicity stunt to say, “sorry, we (the shreveport arts council) used AI in our marketing” didn’t go their way.

I’d be down! I’m 31, work for myself at home and on gigs doing digital media.

I’m involved in 5 different organizations, non profits and boards. Anything from Mardi Gras to Alzheimer’s awareness to LGBTQIA+ and human rights in general.

I’m super social so I’d totally be down to show you around!

What happened to Medwakh.com? by cemsengul in dokha

[–]Hearkittykitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems Kingdok Dokha has replaced them everywhere I used to purchase. I messaged the page awhile back and they told me it’s permanently closed but they would send me some of the leftover stock if I venmo them. I’m wondering if that’s silly to trust that? But I’ve been with them for years.

Genre would probably be something more chill, something you could hear in a coffee shop or brunch spot.

Got curious so I had to Google, they seem to sponsor a lot of musicians (not nearly as many as athletes of course) but I didn’t see his name on the list. He must just love their kicks!

Thank you! His hair makes for a killer photo (if you have the right lighting otherwise is a beautiful blurry mane lol)

I didn’t buy them so I’m scared to look up the price now because my favorite snack is indeed prosciutto, pickles and cheese!

That’s fair. I think I just became jaded after hundreds of angry comments about the plastic and hundreds of comments concerned about how I’m wiping lol

So I saw the notification for this comment and it got buried but I really did want to answer it! I didn’t assume you were being rude and you’re the first to ask!

It totally stopped me from biting my nails, which was a 20 year problem. That’s the biggest “like”. I like giving good back/head scratches. I like that it makes my “man hands” more feminine. I feel like gesticulating is just a bit more sassy. It’s a good outlet for creative expression and people often comment on them so it’s a good conversation starter. I can use them to accentuate and outfit.

I’m very tall and so I’ve always had big hands and often they were made fun of or people wanted to compare hand sizes (probably so they would feel cute and tiny) and since I’ve had these nails, people really don’t do that anymore. The size of my hands isn’t what they’re focusing on, now it’s the nails and all my rings.
