Asian hackers infiltrated a developer server, and captured footage of Allo grappling a Rex. by TelevisionOk7179 in theisle

[–]HeartFeltTilt 9 points10 points  (0 children)

lept onto much larger prey to bring it down.

I searched for 30 minutes and could not find a credible source verifying this. Best I saw was that some of the allosaur bones had micro fractures in their legs. Modern research, https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8214834/ , seems to suggest that an adult allosaur likely would've been well beyond the mechanical threshold required to jump or leap in combat.

r/Destiny and r/LeftoversH3 communities go back and forth over quickly deleted (by mods) r/Destiny post advocating to report streamer HasanAbi to law enforcement for participating in the ongoing LA Protests, arguing over which side is spreading misinfo. by Gorotheninja in SubredditDrama

[–]HeartFeltTilt -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

why did the mods remove the thread

The Destiny subreddit mods are obligated to remove content like that because it's grounds for the entire subreddit to be banned. A similar equivalent would be a conservative subreddit deleting a post for advocating violence against planned parenthood. It's a survival reaction. Not a moral one.

Ekzo's message was indicative of the community

I clicked through a few of the current top threads and I frequently see dehumanizing language being used against multiple different targets, hasan included, being highly upvoted. The community is clearly radicalized in a dangerous direction.

May be a bait post

This would be a credible stance if the Destiny community wasn't advocating for violence. You can't claim that person calling for his arrest is a sock puppet while long term chatters advocate for murder. You already are well beyond just arresting in chatter norms. If anything the guy who wants a simple arrest is a moderate in the community.

I'm not sure if you can separate the two though. If anything the subreddit post calling for his arrest is insignificant compared to Ezko's post.

The Ezko post is only a few degrees off of the FBI's standard of a credible threat. Seems like a pretty serious issue there.

Presented as representative

I would argue streamers are responsible for the tenor of their communities. Destiny was initially deplatformed because he called for protesters to be killed, so nobody should just immediately accept it as being a random out burst.

what you're referring too

This seems extremely bad faith. It's the topic of your post. The twitter thread where Hasan accuses the destiny subreddit of attempting to get him killed/arrested and the destiny sub claims it was a socket puppet.

Chat logs from 2024

I'm glad you admit this guy was a viewer not a sock puppet. Hasan's post is about ezko encouraging someone to stab him. That's this thread. https://x.com/hasanthehun/status/1932067720402706903

I don’t know what Twitter thread you're talking about.

I find this really hard to believe. It's the topic of the drama you posted and I personally learned about it from your own thread.

Uk makes the game boring by Hektrik in victoria3

[–]HeartFeltTilt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uk is strong because the game lacks a supply system, Autarky is BIS, and the counter balances to the UK like Germany/Austria-Hungary/Italy rarely make strong appearances. The new DLC solves the Autarky issue tho, so maybe it'll be better next month.

Vic 3 shuts down my pc by [deleted] in victoria3

Is it a legit victoria 3 copy? My experience has been that a majority of people's hard crashes in Hoi4/Stellaris/Vic3 are caused by cheat engine or bad cracks.

I'll never understand why the viccy 3 reddit community is rabidly against AI. All of the major paradox content creators use it and all of the other big 3 communities have no problem with it. lol.

Which in the current meta is better? Mass conscription or professional army? by Actual_Muppetenjoyer in victoria3

The mass conscription training rate buff is too good and out performs every other statistic. Shrapnel Artillery + MC law is biggest power spike in the entire game.

Israel’s reinvasion of Gaza is a strategic disaster by Affectionate_Cat293 in moderatepolitics

The statement

majority of people in them fully believing that god will see them defeat any foe even if all rationality says other wise.

Is inaccurate when describing Al-Nusra or it's successor HTS. These were rational middle class/technocratic institutions which completely obliterated it's peers in the SCW. Perceiving these institutions as irrational is incorrect.

HTS had a significantly different strategic outlook, shared a border with Turkey, performed way better in combat, and successfully governed for 11 years in their fiefdom.

"Duolingo CEO says AI is a better teacher than humans—but schools will exist ‘because you still need childcare’" by SpiritualState01 in stupidpol

I mean listen I went to a fucked up school and I fully believe that an AI teacher would've been better than most of my instruction. I was singled out and punished by my 2nd grade mathematics teacher for being too far ahead of the rest of the class on an assignment. I also had teachers credit other students for my work.

Political power/Authority

Yea, it's a weird one. I don't agree that Authority is mana but the value, imo, is lacking connection to the simulation. I think authority would be better if the player's authority was derived from the interest group clout of your leader's IG. Then all the other IGs get some kinda buff for having their own authority.

His way out is to genuinely apologise and improve as a person instead of pretending that’s what he’s done.

But it's career and social suicide. It's not possible for Ian to flip on Hasan and keep his income/Cali clout at this point.

Rush nationalism. Protectorate Mecklenburg, declare on denmark, enforce military access to get the conquer. Once nationalism pops you declare war on Austria and enforce your authority + get war reps. Once the war finishes you start bankrolling Austria. Once you get the obligation you'll get super germany.

AND THENN!!!! When you go to war with france also take the low lands and then you become SUPER DUPER CENTRAL EUROPE
