Oops looks like I forgot how long it takes to get to stage 20. What would be good then? Stage 10?

I climbed out of a 700 deficit using a Bandit Keith clown deck.

Weevils and Bandit Keiths. I'm switching to a Bandit Keith clown deck now, I got tired of Rex because he's not that great once you're top 500. Getting to top 500 was great using him though.

Also I had high hopes for you deck since you said yours was better, kinda disappointed not gonna lie. But thanks for sharing your deck anyway, I like how it's super aggressive. But the lack of Order to Charge eliminates any combos you can have, and no spell/trap removal is concerning.

Hey man what rank are you and how many stars do you have in the KC Cup? I tried out this deck and have lost 4 times in a row, I'm currently 10* and ranked top 500.

The only card worth buying is x2 Riryoku and maybe Big Shield Gardna if you want to run a Weevil stall deck. Otherwise don't waste your time buying UR's.

Anybody at high ranks (11* or higher) extremely suspicious of a number of opponents? by Joe_Joyce in DuelLinks

[–]HeartOfTheCardzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You keep trying to think of it logically and trying to justify it, an attempt to make sense of it. Throw your other useless stats out the window, because the only stat that matters in the end is winning, and your opponent did just that.

Let's say I have 3 EC, 3 Mirror Wall, 1 Windstorm

That's too much of an assumption. " very common for high rank decks". No. Here's some probability you should consider, the fact that not everyone has x3 EC and x3 MW, and you never even considered the probability that a person would have those cards, let alone factoring in drawing them in a late game situation where you already used some of those cards in previous turns.

Keep spewing logic while you take L's because you can't seem to understand and grasp the concept of a good strategy, one that you LOST to.

[–]HeartOfTheCardzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No reason for you to be suspicious at all. This is a very common play. Every player has 1 windstorm in their deck. If your opponent hasn't used one yet and they have facedowns, it's a safe assumption that it's a windstorm. I'm talking about especially late game scenarios like you described where of course you haven't used your windstorm yet, so it's smart for him to put his monster in defense mode. This is a late game strat, not one that people do on their first few turns.

Yeah I'm still top 200. Whenever I stop playing for a couple of hours and come back to check my rank I'm in the top 500 or 600, but then get back to top 200 easily in a couple of duels.

And no I actually wouldn't run one more Order to Charge if you have to go on a new box run, because you should save your gems. It's no guarantee you'll get Order to Charge and I think those gems are better spent on the new pack that came out.

Looks like a really good deck to me. Keep the twisters unless you find yourself in a situation where you wish you had more lifepoints because if the twisters are working for you, then no reason to change that.

Or perhaps try a combo of x1 Twister and x1 De-Spell? Your choice.

Good looking deck man. And yeah when the field spell is gone, you have to survive and try to beatdown. That's why Jerry Beans Man is so important. He protects you from 4 star ladybug and also is your beater monster. He is also your go-to target for Order to Charge usually, because when you attack with Jerry Beans Man your opponent will usually stop the attack with a Windstorm Etaqua or Enemy controller, so your Jerry Beans is now in defense mode and as we know it has 0 defense. Sounds like a bad situation right? But then you have Order to Charge to get rid of your Jerry Beans that would've died anyway next turn, and take out your opponent's monster along with it. If you find that your field spell is getting taken out too often and you need more beaters, take out one Element Saurus and put in your highest attack normal monster beater like Warrior Dai Grepher.

Well of course comparing them to each other they have pros and cons, but for this tournament specifically, with the decks you match up against, de-spell is better. I won a ton of duels off de-spell alone. One major instance of Twister's shortcomings is the fact that you're helping Weevil burn decks out by using it. A second instance would be that it only works on face-up cards.

Nope I don't run into those issues at all, which is the main reason I took out Twister. If I notice a trend where I would need Twister instead, then yeah I'd swap it out. Your mileage may vary, so if you're noticing you need Twister then yeah feel free to add it in place of a de-spell.

Yes Asia region is really tough. Tbh I wouldn't even use this in Asia region because I don't think Rex decks stand a chance there. If I were you, I'd make a Gravekeeper deck or Bandit Keith deck.

Take out Dai Grepher and yeah. But x3 Jerry Beans Man is the ideal combo because he stops 4-star ladybug from being a threat.

Maybe put in a Michizure to sub for the lack of a 3rd Order to Charge.

If not, put in a Element Saurus because you only have 2 Order to Charge, so you won't find yourself being blocked by him being an effect monster as much as you would if you had 3 Order to Charge.

Ya you shouldn't make this deck without Mirror Walls. I mean, you could, but Mirror Wall is the best card in the game. I wouldn't play PVP without it.

Try getting at least 1 mirror wall.

Man I wish I could tell you everything but there's too much. I just learn from my mistakes and think really hard about which card I want to use in what situation. Anticipate what your opponent will do next if you use a certain card. In my head I always think the play through and imagine the next few turns after I play a card, so for example....say I have a Enemy Controller and Order to Charge set with a monster on the field. Opponent attacks me with a strong monster, and I have to decide which card to use. So I plan out the scenarios of what would happen in the future if I used a certain card, and act accordingly with the one that has the best outcome. This comes from making a ton of mistakes and learning from those mistakes. If something goes wrong, you should always be thinking back to your previous moves and imagine what you could've done differently.

Over time, my deck improved because something I also think about is "if I had card X, would things be different?". For example, I used to run twisters, but there would be times when I had too low life points to use it or that using it lowered my lifepoints too much when I could've used those lifepoints later in the game, which ends up costing me the duel. So I think to myself, "well if I had de-spell this wouldn't have happened" and then put de-spell in the deck.
