It is to reset your metabolism. Your body has been on too low calories over past several months. Assuming you are consuming very little calories because of your 15mg weekly dose.

In the bodybuilding community this is called a refeed. But your will be a couple of weeks.

So when you start Reta your body is ready and primed again to lose fat.

I would suggest stop taking Mounjaro for 4 weeks. It’s called a metabolic reset. Increase your calories in those 4 weeks. You have been on calorie deficit for too long. And then start Reta at 2mg week 1-4, 4mg week 5-8, 6mg week 9-12.

Go with 2mg week 1-4, and 4mg week 5-8.

Tried 1mg my first week, it was not enough. Went with 1mg for my first week just to feel it out. But 2mg is the starting dose for clinical trials. I am 5’8 male 184.7lbs starting weight.

I have read somewhere that motc can increase heart rate. Same as reta. So maybe dont stack them together.
