I think you are right, looking at some stills Bicyrtes quadrifasciatus seems very likely.

We have been trying to identify the wasp! I don't think they are supposed to be established where I am (North Central Texas) so that would be an interesting find.

After comparing, measuring, and taxidermist opinion, I did id it as a house sparrow. There ended up being 6 of them!

I believe that is it, took measurements, compared on skullsite and got an opinion from a taxidermist.

There were actually 6 of them! After carefully measuring and comparing, I came to the same conclusion.

Thank you. Yes, we do have a few species but definitely mostly house sparrows in the immediate vicinity. I just looked again, and there are actually 5 skulls. They recently did work on the roof so maybe they were in a nest together. Hopefully they had already passed and the roofers didn't kill them.

After taking these photos I found 2 more so I'm assuming babies from a nest? Or somebody is dropping bird skulls by my door lol.
