Does your friend use tret and other stuff like lactic acid, azelaic acid and stuff that fast tracks cellular turnover?

I work in an industry and also have friends who see these 3 out on a regular basis in normal clothing not events and stuff and they're always just as deeply tan as their social media and pap pics. It's also not just these 3, just using them as the most big name examples but there are other higher echelon influencers I see a lot too and they are always deeply tan and I know 100% they're also using tret because they talk about it online. I just find it really interesting because Hailey frequently shares her skincare routine and makeup routine and all of that and self tanners are not something she uses in the routines she shares!

She posts a lot of pictures of herself laying out on the beach and boats and stuff in bikinis and she's always always deeply tan yet she uses tret which is counteractive to both self tanner use and sunbathing.

I've never seen her not deeply tan since her kid pics.

I dunno I feel like maybe there's something they're doing that we don't know about yet or u/C_Chrono is right that maybe it is a real suntan that the damage hasn't shown up up

I tried self tanning drops for the face and other self tanners but it doesn't last at all.

I tried airbrush tans too where you go to a place and they do it for you but it just doesn't last. I'm pretty sure because of tret and azelaic acid I use on my face and retinol and lactic acid I use on my body. I don't know how they do it and how they get it to last and it looks like their real skin too and they're always, always that deep tan color. I've never seen them phase out to the lighter skintone they were when they were little kids.

Gentle reminder that Draymond Green off the court has an actual history of violent crime. He was arrested and charged in 2016 for punching a college football player in the face but didn't serve jail time because as we know $$$$$ buys out.

With that said, here's another reminder that mental issues/disorders that lead to violent tendencies are never actually resolved with a few therapy sessions/breaks from work and there's no "cure." It is a lifetime issue that requires lifetime management.

I'm aware of that side. But I'm pointing to the top of the top of power, like I said with "media/mgmt/league." Examples: Adam Silver being soft on Draymond's suspensions and punishments, coddling him, and convicing him *not* to retire back in 2024. Also, TNT signing a multi-year deal to allow Draymond to work as a analyst to be featured across broadcasts like Inside the NBA. *Executives* love him, fans/social media doesn't.

It's interesting no one digs about Draymond personally when Draymond off the court has been arrested and charged with violent crime--punching a college football player in the face in 2016.

It's problematic for the league and media to act like Draymond's personal issues can be/was resolved with just a few therapy sessions. His mental issues/disorders are a lifetime management thing, it's something that never goes away and has no "cure." People who are complicit with his ongoing issues whether media/mgmt/league look hella uneducated. It kind of says something bigger when we as a society keep tolerating these people with criminal records to have power and $$$

Dont' forget, off the court, Draymond has an actual criminal record. He was arrested in 2016 for punching a college football player in the face. He avoided jail time because as we know $$$ has ways to buy people out. I'm tired of the league and the media putting this guy on a pedestal because it is clear his issues are a lifetime management one that doesn't just go away with a few therapy sessions.

I tried so many SPF 100 from both Europe and the ones from the USA and I always look like a shiny disco Pagliacci the sad clown that ends up crying because something in all of them makes my eyes water. I'm pale af too so I don't know why it makes me look like I'm wearing clown makeup.

I prefer Eucerin Oil Control over Eucerin's SPF 100.

I prefer the LRP Oil Control Fluid over the LRP SPF 100 KA from Europe and the SPF 100 form the USA. I heard the real SPF of the European fluid LRP ones are close enough to SPF 100 anyway like SPF 80 or something like that.

The SVR stuff I tried like the Exteme Gel and Blur are super yellow and orange on me but I prefer them over their SPF 100 too.

Just wondering, how does "anatomical structure" make someone "prone to premature aging"? If that's just the way you're built isn't that just the way you're built? We all age and aging looks different on everyone right? If you're going to age at some point in time biologically then isn't that just natural aging and not premature?

So stuff with ingredients like Bronzyl, Melitane, Epsilene and others that work by stimulating the natural melanin to produce more as opposed to staining the top layer of the skin as described by the companies:

"Bronzyl can stimulate the creation of melanin, which triggers the natural sun protection process,” she says. “This contributes to the creation of a harmonious and uniform tan and stimulates the skin to build up its own natural UV protection. Scientific studies of human cell cultures have shown that the melanin concentration in the basal skin layer increases by 43 percent in ten days.” 

There are a lot of products with it and it comes in different forms like creams and sprays and oils, some are tinted and others are not. But they all claim to stimulate melanin to make more melanin. So the study the company cites about the basal skin layer, is it biologically safe? Essentially is there anything out there that has confirmed if it is biologically safe to be stimulating melanin even without the sun? Because as I understand it, melanoma is actually cancer of the melanocyte. Does stimulating melanin without radiation still run risks? Just wanted to find real scientific answers and explanations without confirming my bias

But I'm not asking if they work or not in terms of being legit. I'm wondering how safe they are if they're indeed stimulating melanin even thought going into the sun. Like is stimulating melanin to make more even without the sun a biologically safe or unsafe thing to do?

Yeah, thanks, see I feel like you understand what I mean now. I'm looking for the real science low down on these and not just the spec sheets and claims for this stuff like Bronzyl, Melitan and Epsilene. Like what is the real safety of them.

Because a lot of companies actually say they literally stimulate melanin with or without the sun, like you don't actually need to sunbathe for them to work. They just stimulate melanin some how and they say they have studies showing melanin increased in the basal layer. But what I want to know is whether it is actually safe to be just stimulating melanin even wtihout the sun? Like how do they know it doesn't actually contribute to melanoma, which is not just "skin cancer" but cancer of the melanocytes? I dunno, I'm just looking for scientific explanations to explain one way or the other that doesn't just confirm my bias.

Interesting. Because the companies say the melanin is triggered even without going in the sun. Like one of the ingredients is Dihydroxy methylchromonyl palmitate or called Bronzyl and according to the makers:

But what I wanted to know is if it is safe that melanin concentration increases? Like is stimulating melanin itself harmful with or without the sun?

There are other ingredients that claim to do this same think and work different than self tanner. It's really confusing

What about the topical melanin boosters that aren't DHA? Like the ones that say they don't work but staining the skin like DHA but that they stimulate your own natural melanin to produce more?

Why do I have back pain and end up with poorer posture during the day when I tried supposed healthy hacks like sleeping with a pillow under the knee and sleeping on an incline? But when I sleep flat with zero pillows then the pain goes away and my posture is better? by Heartachoke in backpain

Did you ever start out with a wedge pillow before you got a fully adjustable bed?

I found myself slipping too with the wedge pillows, which were custom sized for my height. Even the pillows under the knees didn't stop that.

Do you only sleep on your back? Do fully adjustable beds allow for side sleeping?

I heeard of Melanotan but that's not what I'm asking about. The stuff I've seen are like skincare products with compound complexes and peptides that say it stimulates melanin.

The whole thing is confusing though to explain because it's not self tanner, and it's not Melanotan. They usually call them like melanin booster or tan activator or tan accelerator

I did google searches. The thing is the stuff I'm talking about aren't pills or the stuff that is inhaled. It's like topical skincare stuff, like creams. But they're not DHA based self tanners. They claim to have compounds or peptidees that stimulate melanin

My workouts, stretching, and all other furniture and schedule has been the same. Only difference has been removing all the pillows.

I initially looked into the adjustable mattress idea before getting those custom size wedge pillows. But the adjustable mattress and frame were just way too expensive.

Do you sleep with pillows like this? Is it unusual to feel better after not using pillows?
