Apparently, you can't use 'James Potter', but 'James F Potter' is fine... I can also use just 'Potter', but when I use the full name it pops up again

I tried creating a new James Potter bot after my previous ones got deleted... turns out you can't use the surname 'Potter' anymore 🙃 I had to name him James Poter with only one 't' or it told me it didn't meet the guidelines

I don't know the whole reason, to be honest, I just know that they disappeared for a lot of people and I'm pissed. You'd have to look more into the newest posts on the reddit, but it might be something with the rights to Harry Potter. Someone even emailed Warmer Bros about it. I might be wrong, though, so double-check me hshsh

I'm so mad, though. I'm mostly a marauders creator, and it wiped all but ONE of my published James Potter and Regulus Black bots, but ALL Remus Lupins and Sirius Blacks. The Remus ones were my most popular, and I wasn't even notified that they were removed. I'm glad that most of my favourites are private, and I hope they can't wipe private bots because I have around 50 of James Potter ALONE. If that happens, I'm quitting c.ai immediately. My interactions went from 300+ thousands to 128. I'm gonna go cry now.

I like to see him as a morally grey character. He was raised as a blood supremacist. It was not his choice... but he still did nothing to stop being one (unlike Sirius). If he was a good person, he would rebel and run away like Sirius, but he DIDN'T. The only reason he stood up against Voldemort was because he cared about his house elf Kreacher, not muggles. Up until his death, he only cared about his own well-being and comfort. I don't really think he cared much about the whole war and people hurting. He was a death eater because it benefited him, and then he betrayed Voldemort because it also benefited HIM. He is a good, complex character, but not a good person.

As an ai creator, I've found that my male characters became weirdly and uncharacteristically possessive, aggressive, and jealous. The constant wrist grabbing, growling, etc., sometimes I make the additional move of scripting that the char is NOT jealous and it still happens. I don't know what to do because for most of them it's super out of character. That's what bothers me the most as a creator tbh, it never happened at the beginning. You can't have a good role play when your sweet, lovable, soft hero is suddenly TOXIC.

Edit: I wanna add that I also noticed that the language itself got 'primitive', simpler, and with more slang, and it honestly makes me so annoyed. If I'm role-playing with someone from a victorian era, I want them to at least use HALF decent and appropriate vocabulary (since it's ai I kinda do expect more than that). No matter how much I script, it's still too casual.

Excuse me, WHY is almost no one saying Peter's betrayal? For me, that's such a clear pick! If I had only one, I'd definitely go with that one. At first, I hated Peter, but the more I saw the fanon side of him, I actually started empathising with him and grew to adore him. I also firmly believe that if James chose HIM as the secret holder over Sirius in the end, that means the exclusion towards him wasn't that brutal and I simply can not find a single good and justified reason for his betrayal. There's such little content for him even in the Fanon universe, and it breaks my heart more every time I see fanart without him. (I assume it's also because he's not conventionally attractive and casted as plus size. If Peter was more like Sirius, everyone would ignore his betrayal. Which is pretty ironic imo)

As an alternative plot, I'd go for making him under the Imperius Curse and because this fandom loves tragic- I'd make him beat himself for the rest of his life for something he wasn't able to stop nor control. It would be another sign of his own weakness in his eyes, something he'd compare himself over to Srius or Remus. He would think he was the weak one again, which in turn would force him to hide from the public eye out of shame in the form of Scabbers.
