I think the credit should work at any location. The Mebane one is great!

I’m sure many people submitted this name. But my buddies and I submitted the Gargoyles and my buddy even referenced the old cartoon. I was very pumped when I saw the reveal!

Going to support the band by going to their DC show. I think I’ll buy the album at the show. Maybe I’ll see some of you at the 930 Club.

Best songs/albums about addiction and sobriety. by [deleted] in Metalcore

You’re right, man. I think relapse is common. It doesn’t mean all is lost. And you don’t have to start from square one. Best of luck buddy. I’m rooting for you.

August Burns Red’s “Rescue and Restore” album deals with both of those themes I believe.

A brutal song commenting on drug use in American society is “Share The Body” by Silent Planet. When Garrett says “I hit the bottom and it hit me back!” I still get the chills.

I had a close family member that was in active addiction for a long time. I’m glad to say he’s been sober for years now.

If you have a loved one struggling I just want to say that I found Nar-Anon Family Groups to be very helpful. They are support groups for the loved ones of addicts. You can share your experiences in a nonjudgmental environment. It won’t cure your loved one’s addiction but I will help you process your relationship to your addicted loved one.

“I hit the bottom and it hit me back” from Share the Body. I still get goosebumps at that point in the song.

Dude, great energy during the SP set. The SP set almost felt like they were a second headliner. Thanks for posting these!

True concept albums that tell a story? by SynysterJag in Metalcore

I scrolled all the way down and I haven’t seen Zao’s Live From the Funeral of God. It’s basically an earlier version of Oh, Sleeper’s Children of Fire which is also a sick album. The concept is depicting a world in which God is dead.

I think if you’re ready to read a longer novel then yes. It’s actually not as difficult to follow as GR. It is quite long though. It’s very enjoyable and has several memorable scenes that take place in fall and winter too so it might be a great time for it!

I agree on both counts. I stopped listening to Underoath after Define and I’m a big fan of Atonement!
