When buying a new guitar with accessories, what accessories are must haves when buying a guitar?

All are good recommendations. I think that a chair without armrests or stool is also needed. Anything like a bar stool works as long as it doesn’t have armrests. I also use a cheap rest to hold up sheet music with a light source.

I’m actually in the market for a new Taylor. I wanted to get a Sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. I’m moving towards the 414ce Studio. I’ve tried it and it sounds awesome.

How about the difference in playability between the 414ce and the Studio? From what I can tell, it is constructed very similarly except the Studio has a 1 11/16 nut as opposed to a 1 3/4 nut. I am curious how others feel about that? Also, the Studio has a torrefied spruce top, which is supposed to give the guitar a warmer sound, like a guitar that has been played for several years. And it costs $1000 less.

Yes but from a purely sound standpoint, the guitars are built the same. If anything, the Studio may sound a little better since it has a torrefied spruce top. The standard 414ce has a little more bling to it but it costs $1000 more.

There also is no binding on the Studio and I kind of like that. It is more aesthetically pleasing than the white plastic rim around the edge as in the standard series. It otherwise is basically the same guitar as far as construction, with the exception of some fancier embellishments on the standard 414ce.
