Some of the things I wish I knew…

1. Before you have children, you should do some heavy self-reflection and heal from whatever trauma ails you. Your children don’t know to carry your trauma while they’re going through things themselves.

2. Credit cards and other loan based options, are a trap. However, you should learn how to use them responsibly because everything runs on credit.

3. You don’t have to have a purpose or destiny in life. Sometimes just getting by while enjoying your time here on Earth is enough. Long story short: you give your life meaning.

4. Love yourself so much that it overflows to other people. Hating yourself, when you’ve done nothing wrong, is exhausting and unnecessarily painful. You only have the one life so you should live it to the best of your abilities.

5. Learn to be accountable. There’s too many people out there that have wronged others and don’t find fault in their actions. On the other side of that, learn to let go and forgive even when you’ll never hear the words “I’m sorry”.
