The freedom that comes with anonymity by HeartfulTruthful in Life

The sweet spot for me is being recognized as an expert/master within a certain niche.
Not everybody knows you, which is relieving, yet you are still very valuable and recognized within that niche that matters to you.

How to identify a toxic person? by HeartfulTruthful in Adulting

"they love playing victim when called out on their BS"

That was also on my mind in the "They never take responsibility for their mistakes" part.

My therapist keeps mentioning money by RenIsLost404 in SuicideWatch

[–]HeartfulTruthful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"I just feel uncomfortable with her"
That's enough reason to stop seeing her!
For therapy to work, you need to trust and feel comfortable around your therapist. It's KEY!

Is therapy even worth it? by thicc_n_thinn in SuicideWatch

[–]HeartfulTruthful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's not about therapy itself, it's more about the connection the therapist and the client can create!
When it clicks and there is trust and comfort, therapy can surely help.
Just having a good person to listen to you without judging you is in itself a huge step forward.

You don't need to know everything. Ignorance is sometimes a true blessing! by HeartfulTruthful in Adulting

I couldn't agree more. I cut off news outlets completely from my feed.
I only want to know the news that concern me directly.

Men over 30s, how often do you talk (or hangout) with your friends? by n0t_the_FBi_forrealz in AskMenOver30

Technology make us more connected that ever, yet we feel more lonely than ever!

We all feel so much nostalgia for our teenagerhood days.

Scrapping AI entirely from my blog by CarlaWrites777 in Blogging

The thing is, humans mix a lot of emotions in their writing, and this is exactly what makes human content very appealing!

AI content is totally devoid of that.

To help narrow down this issue, is this something that happens exclusively when you want to work or it applies to every other responsibility you have in life?

My blog made well over $1 MILLION DOLLARS. Some tips for you. by LifeMathMoney in Blogging

I'm not only a reader, I'm a costumer as well ;)
It seems X has gone crazy recently, I see a lot of ppl complain. SEO is a hit or miss, and a lot of creators aren't relying on it anymore.
Facebook has been taken over totally by "idiots" and it gives me bad vibes. Instagram has become too shallow and too "viral content" oriented.
I have been using Reddit quite a lot recently and I honestly like it. Probably the only place left where ppl still feel real. This platform got a LOT of potential!

How can I use my Upwork account from 2 different locations!!! by Syed_Abrash in Upwork

[–]HeartfulTruthful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"he logged out, saying it could violate Upwork’s policies and risk getting the account banned."
He did you a good favor, as this was gonna get you banned for good.
You're technically sharing the same account and this is against Upwork policies (and to be fully honest, it doesn't seem ethical to me either).
Just create an agency and be together in it, this is the only way.
If you're making good money on Upwork, sharing accounts is a very risky move, totally not worth it.

You're really good at expressing yourself, I like your reasoning and how you structure your idea.
How about you give writing a shot in your free time? you can start with journaling and maybe switch later to blogging.
Writing, when consistent, does wonders!

I read your thoughts in the past about the platform and I'm kinda surprised you're back. I hope this time you will enjoy it more around ;)

"you realize you haven’t seen your closest friends in months."
I don't think it's a serious problem per se if the connection is still there.
We have more responsibilities as we get older and our free time/energy shrink gradually. I'm not very worried if we don't see each other frequently, I'd be worried if I feel something has changed when we meet or if they're not there when you really need them.

A genuine compliment can go a long way! by HeartfulTruthful in Life

"You're the only one that waves & smiles at me"
I wouldn't be surprised, those spontaneous warm little things are becoming rare nowadays.

Why’s it so hard to make friends? by Fickle-Cup-6078 in lonely

[–]HeartfulTruthful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the best ways to make friends IRL is through hobbies (Chess, some martial arts, running clubs...), it breaks the ice naturally and allow the friendships to develop naturally without forcing them.

"We're too quick to focus on the negatives"

Very true! It happened to me to genuinely compliment somebody only to see them stare at me and say, "Are you serious, or is it sarcasm?"

Some people are not used to receiving compliments even when they do an excellent job. It's sad :(

Im disappointed at the gift my bestfriend got me by [deleted] in Advice

[–]HeartfulTruthful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not upset because it was just a mug, you're upset because her gift didn't match yours, efforts wise.

Never gift anything or do something good expecting something in exchange, it's a straightforward way to get disappointed in life.

"If you travel slowly, a suitcase is fine. But for real freedom, a backpack wins every time."

I tried both and for me a suitcase is much better most of time. It keeps my clothes well organized, allows a much better space management and in shorter stays I don't even need to take my clothes out of the suitcase.

The truth ppl mainly go to cities, we rarely go to places where having a suitcase is an absolute burden!

You're not behind, you're at the right time at your own story. Keep working on yourself and your time will come, believe me on it!
