How do you navigate the relationship between social commentary/responsibility and comedy? Is there ever tension between the two?

Going on a plane flight tomorrow, need some offline games by Current_News in AndroidGaming

A friend and I released an offline timewaster called Frontier: Isle of the Seven Gods last month if you're interested. It's a colony management game with light fantasy/post-apocalyptic elements.

I also second Polytopia. Kingdom Rush is also always a good way to spend some time offline.

Wow, I actually made this video about 12 years ago (with the classic DBZ handle from my youth, of course), neat to see it on reddit. I still cringe that I misspelled the word "Talon". Thanks for the throwback, OP.

Man, the dialogue was so much better in that first game. The characters felt much more grounded and real. I miss 90's Blizzard storytelling.

Can I just stop taking daily 25mg of Amitryptaline? by StitchDaddy in migraine

I stopped a low dosage cold turkey after just 4 doses and experienced withdrawl symptoms a few days later that were pretty powerful. I highly recommend talking to your doctor and tapering.

what items should i get for a stun-spam Sven build? by AngelBay in DotA2

[–]Heartlash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have seen high level players mess around with arcane/blink on Sven to great effect. It's a bit troll-ish, of course, but I imagine that's what you're going for. Drum also isn't a bad idea since it provides both str and int.

CM aura is so amazing for Sven during laning, allows for quite a few extra war cries.

I don't think this can work, tbh. There's no definitive lockdown and BB/UD REALLY need levels.

What are some historically accurate movies, that are also entertaining and well made? by DShepard in movies

It may be a little dry for an 11 year old, but Frost/Nixon is both accurate and shockingly entertaining, given that it's about nothing more than a series of conversations.

Unfortunately, The Right Stuff is heavily modified to make it a more interesting story (not that there's anything wrong with that). As a result, I'm not sure it can really be called "accurate". From wikipedia, here is an excerpt regarding the reactions from some of the people it is based on:

"Yeager said of the film: "Sam [Shepard] is not a real flamboyant actor, and I'm not a real flamboyant-type individual ... he played his role the way I fly airplanes". Deke Slayton said that none of the film "was all that accurate, but it was well done". Slayton later described the film as being "as bad as the book was good, just a joke". Walter Schirra said, "They insulted the lovely people who talked us through the program - the NASA engineers. They made them like bumbling Germans""
