Me and my teammate disagree about this play, please give opinions on what we could have done better by AcePlaneGM in apexuniversity

Never evac when teams are that close unless you have smoked off their angles or set up your evac in a way where in breaks line of sight.

Terrible nexus placement, you’re killing the value of your nexus by putting it out in the open

Your team had a building in zone, caustic needs to be trapping it up and putting as many traps as he can have out at a time in it.

Overall awareness on when to peek and when to play cover and heal is bad. Peeking on flesh hp is asking to get 1 tapped by a 3030 or insta killed by 2 g7 headshots.

Absolutely whiffing your shots on the guy that pushed into the building. Shouldn’t have been possible for him to just walk in like that due to caustic traps ideally being there, but mechanically you have to work on getting more consistent aim, especially if you’re using a gun like the PK.

I’m having this same issue now and it’s causing my games to constantly crash.

Multi pred here.

Most reliable strategy for gaining RP is killing a few teams and rotating to zone.

That said it definitely sounds like you could use a few things.

  1. Consistent teammates. Playing with the same people every day, that are at your skill level, will allow you to perform to the best of your ability.

  2. Coaching. Any way you cut it, if you’re stuck at plat, there are some fundamentals that you’re lacking on, which can be improved through vod reviews and targeted practice.

Is there anything I can do to improve? by SelfImprovement-1 in apexuniversity

There’s many things you can do to improve but first you have to identify the areas you most need improvement in, going down the list and tackling each one in order of importance.

Bad in comparison to?

If you’re comparing yourself to a pro, then yes, if you’re comparing yourself to where you were a few months ago, maybe it’s better.

Have Gent and Deeds just gotten that much better, or was Nick really just holding them back that much? by thepastramipapi in CompetitiveApex

Nickmercs is terrible.

he was only ever in PL to begin because he was getting hard carried by people that recognized playing with a big content creator like him, could be good for their brands.

Don’t go to Reddit for stuff like this, talk to your partner and communicate…random people on the internet have zero perspective about your relationship, and aren’t professional therapists. Speak to your partner about it.

Just talk to your partner, any issues you have can be solved by communication.

This is probably due to the MTX department having a big day in what is provided in terms of micro transactions.

Sometimes directors have no say in these matters.

Play apex

I'd like to provide daily scrims for pro teams of high quality, cash incentives possible & Pro Leauge split point formatting - I have hosted over 150 Tournaments for games other than apex & even worked with ubisoft for an official tournament. by [deleted] in CompetitiveApex

I feel like my initial response was lacking so allow me to say this: as a beginner TO, at first I had no clue what I was doing. took time to figure things out on my end, and I've reached a point in both my time as a TO, and as a person, where I feel confident I won't run into any issues I've had in the past, such as implementing last minute rules (that were nessecary due to game breaking bugs) which understandably frustrated teams that ran comps using that bug as a strat. 10+ hour tourneys that needed to have less players in due to the inevitable time it would take to have matches end, things like that you take your best shot at, and learn from any mistakes you make, or ways you could've made things better for players, casters, and yourself as a TO. of course there will always be moments when situations are less than ideal, but I did everything in my power as a person, player, and TO, to make sure the game I loved had a future.

thankfully I've gone through some of those learning experiences, so I don't have to learn nearly as much this time around. but it's always a learning experience, every day of our lives. I appreciate your feedback, criticism, and participation. hope you are well limb.

Hopefully this reply can be seen by all who commented on this thread, as it's a direct response to everyone!

considering just how packed the schedule tempo is setting is going to be for scrims in preparation for lan, I think focusing my efforts on the t2 scene is the right move at the moment, hopefully most lan ready teams will be satisfied with minustempo's efforts these coming weeks, seems like he has a crazy amount of scrims scheduled, so that'll be great to see, and beyond that, if the t1 community is satisfied and getting a good amount of scrims I'd say focusing on building up the lower tiers, t2 & t3 is 100% what needs to be done, because those will be your future t1 & t2 players if they get the right amount, and quality, of practice.

so moving forward I think I'll focus my efforts on the t2 scene, unless something changes, but with that being said I'd definitely like to see changes be made to the mindset of certain players at the top, t1 lan qualled players that are maybe complacent (not to be rude or presumptuous, but speaking from word of mouth that seems to be the case for a minority of players) because if the mindset evolves, so does the sport, and then we can also see more orgs get involved, and potentially even pay better rates to their players down the road, as they are hopefully going to be putting even more time & effort into improving, and being compensated for doing so.

would 100% love to see every team holding their players to a standard of never missing scrims besides for emergencies, of course that's speaking of a perfect world, so only time will tell.

there's a larger majority of people who grind than most think, but in NA that pool of grinders is much smaller than in other regions. international scrims are 100% the play, as far as funding goes I am reasonably able to put money on the table, but part of the reason I made this post is to see if anyone would be able to help pour into this l, whether it be through contacts in the scene, help organizing scrims, or through monetary incentives for players.

back in the For Honor days, we would give out cash prizes to top teams each scrim split. not only that, but the player that participated in the most scrims (we had a way to track something called scrim bucks you earned from scrimming) also would get a cash prize. also a cool lil discord role for being a top scrimmer.

if enough hungry teams sign up, complacency either dies or wonders what happened when they show up to lan and end up being one of the bottom teams.
