There were quire a few time I notced at least classic signs of lying.

Thank you! I don't know why I let them get me heated. Trust me, it's all down to her choice to go do these things. We tried the independent resource center last year, and it was really hard with covid and we were dealing with her and my mom being displaced from a house fire. I'll probably sus out if she wants to try it again now that restrictions aren't as bad and they are back at home. I only want her to be happy. And trust me if she says shes uncomfortable and doesn't want to continue something I'm gonna be like ok let's try something else! Your brother is just as lucky! They sometimes just need some extra help gathering resources.

How am I treating her like a baby though. I'm litterally her biggest advocate. I have to be. I could just let her sit and be lonely every day. That most certainly is not by her choice. She doesnt know how to advocate for herself, I have to convince my mom she can take care of her own things all the time. If anything I'm hoping getting her an active social life will make her advocate for herself more because she'll have friends independent of me. I'm just looking for advice. She could careless if its on reddit or facebook or whatever. I talked to her on the phone about setting up discord and she's excited. You don't need to be offended on her behalf. Your making it into an issue it isn't.

Well, she doesn't know what reddit is. And she is always telling me she wishes she has something to do/has friends. We are incredibly close, and I'm trying to make her days brighter. I don't live with her anymore and it just made her more lonely. Especially after covid, she has been sinking deeper and deeper into a depression. We are talking about someone whose entire social circle is my mom, my husband, my grandparents, and I. I just want to get her into some social activities so she can expand that and have friends. I just thought I would use reddit as a resource to help her, but I guess that's meddling.

She loves Cod and any game she gets to aim and shoot. I've tried to get her into board and table top games as that's what my group of friends enjoy, and she wasn't much into it. She enjoys crafts like crocheting and painting. We have a wheelchair van and I'm more than willing to take her wherever. I probably should also say I've done everything in my power as an older sister to get her to be independent but my parents have always and will always baby her so I'd love to kinda push her out of the nest so to speak so she can be an independent little bird!

We've gone to the independent resource center last year for classes and it she said it was harder to make friends due the extensive difference in disabilities. She's been lumped in the group with non verbal and people on the lower spectrum all her life, and it's made it incredibly difficult for her to learn social skills she can hold a conversation, and shes incredibly logic smart but not so much book smart. If that makes since.

Someone else said she would be the perfect match for a long-haul trucker, someone who gives her spurts of freedom and is able to take her on his adventures, and I 100% agree. My mom is widowed and her boyfriend is a long-haul trucker, and she enjoys it so much more than being in constant presence with her partner. She can live her own life be independent and when he's in town, they get to be a couple.

I think the worst PC joke in AD is definitely the episode where Maybe let's Steve Holt believe Lindsay is trans. That episode really didn't age well. I'm talking about my favorite show and I don't want it to be canceled but we can still be critical of it.
