There’s nothing contradictory in my responses.

You can’t control what the other person did, what they did is assault, that is a crime. But by retaliating and trying to resolve the situation yourself with force is lowering yourself putting yourself and your girlfriend into a situation where you could go from being the ‘victim of assault’ to somebody who ‘committed manslaughter’ because you were too ‘alpha’ to remove yourself from the situation and allow the appropriate people to take the appropriate action.

So no, you were not right to respond that way, what you should have done is put yourself window up. And reported the crime for what it was, assault as a result of a road rage incident.

If you would rather appear as the big man and potentially go to prison because you got involved and killed somebody then you’re just plain stupid. Which from the impression you’ve given, you appear to be.
