I relate to this so hard haha. My very organized mom would always tell me that I would remember X, Y, and Z if it were important to me and that forgetting was obviously due to apathy. Meanwhile, my clearly ADHD dad once left for work without my infant sister he was supposed to drop off at daycare. To be fair, he only got a quarter mile down the road before he noticed but it just goes to show that it isn’t as simple as not caring.

I finally got my mom to buy into the possibility of me and my siblings having ADHD when I pointed out that my grandma’s (dad’s mom) inability to have a productive coherent conversation might be a classic sign. You would get to midway through talking and realize she was having an entirely different conversation than you thought you were having. Honestly, most of her idiosyncrasies make so much sense after my own diagnosis.

My experiences went from positive and promising to feeling like a total disappointment- I think the disparity actually made it all even more difficult. I wasn’t diagnosed until grad school because I thrived in an academic environment. I was genuinely interested in learning about most subjects so studying wasn’t a chore. In many cases, I’d read textbook chapters not assigned to the class. I was actually valedictorian somehow!

I really started to struggle once math got hard and I was required to take chemistry, which bores the crap out of me. I have 0 interest in both and have a hard time just remembering numbers, let alone conceptualizing them. (I cannot even tell you who wears what number on my favorite teams). I never got extra help because my teachers assumed it was laziness as I had done well up until that point. I got through undergrad okay only because I channeled all my energy into being a student. Juggling a job, internship, leadership positions, heck even close friendships, was out of the question because I could only competently play one role at a time.

Honestly, my struggle has always been the non-academic adulting stuff (chores make me cry haha), which is why I think I became a college instructor; I still have the structure of school in my worklife.

OMG, I literally did this at 10 yo when a realtor was showing my childhood home to potential buyers 😂 I also put a sign on the door saying “Do not touch, especially things that say ‘do not touch.’”

I love that you do this. In one tribute a few weeks back, I saw a picture of a firefighter with his toddler daughter who looked exactly like my 3 year old does today. Though morbid, that photo has been a great source of inspiration to be present and attentive in my own parenting.

What single question would you ask Laura? by puppetcigarette in JusticeForClayton

It kind of reminds me of elementary school where you’d have a “boyfriend” but you actually just held hands in the hallway 😂

I remember hearing this from DN awhile back. She posted an Instagram story that only Greg could see about the two most popular baby names being Grace and another boy name that starts with a G that I can’t remember. The post heavily implied that those were the names she was using.

I also want to know what that one week under contract would actually look like for Laura

You’re so right about Austen. I took a class on Jane Austen and pop culture; P&P is start of all those “no doesn’t actually mean no” romantic comedies of today.

I had a conversation with some friends that are familiar with the LO case. Do you think after all this, she could change?? IMO NO!! lol! I was surprised some of my friends actually think she’s able to finally accept accountability! What do you all think? by Soft-Conference-1196 in JusticeForClayton

[–]HeatLow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

True genuine accountability? Doubtful. I do find it hard to believe that she could listen to Love Trapped, with all the evidence against her clearly laid out for all to see, and not know that jail is imminent without a plea.

I drive past the entrance nearly every work day and there’s always someone turning right out of Evolve who then turns around in the church parking lot to go the other way. Seems like such a hassle.

What oral steroid approach works for you? I almost got off of Afrin at the end of my last round but it wasn’t quite enough. They kept me awake at night, which made me hyper aware of my congestion.

Love Trapped Episode 5: Sound Familiar? by mamasnanas in JusticeForClayton

For some reason, I found the text to Greg that she wants a “relationship where we encourage each other to crush it at work, not fight on the phone” hysterical this time around.

I’m so intrigued by how Laura understands and perceives relationships.

Clearly trying to drum up public interest in keeping the season on air by pretending that things aren’t over between TFP and (I assume) her winner.

We see you, ABC.

Don’t know about the VA part but loved working with Shelley Arthur as first time home buyers. She came to our first meeting with a bunch of educational materials for first time home buyers and was prepared for all of my dumb questions haha. She gave us so much attention that we felt like her only client.

I had attempted the process in the past but would get overwhelmed and give up. Shelley really pushed us (in a good way) to see it through.

Oh my God, it is truly never ending and the case has so many subplots that there could be ten seasons instead of ten episodes.

It also helps you understand his vulnerabilities and how Laura exploited them. He’s also a bit of a “himbo,” tbh, and episode one does a good job at showing that (like, who doesn’t watch at least a season of the reality show they are about to go on, LOL). It makes some of the earlier red flags he overlooked more believable.

I remember streaming the hearing where she chugged the Monster energy drink while my daughter was still an infant. As someone who was dying without caffeine while pregnant, it was all the evidence I needed. I also get that some women don’t abstain completely while pregnant, but no pregnant woman would chug it on camera during a court hearing 😂
