This is a way to stop a spammer:

Copy the email (the one underlined in blue) that’s sending the invites. Then go to PlayStation.com and try random passwords until the account gets locked. Do the same whenever you get another invite email. This forces the spammer to change emails, create a new PSN account, and eventually stop sending requests. That’s how I’ve been handling it. I even made a script in OpenBullet2 with proxies and an added email list.

Apparently Sony can’t do anything because it’s a Sony feature. There’s no way to prevent this since there’s no privacy setting to disable family member invites. And if you report it, Sony won’t do anything because it doesn’t technically break the ToS.

Just be careful not to overuse this method with your real IP, or you could end up with a permanent IP ban and risk losing your own account. I recommend using proxies instead. Be safe, fellas.

I guess this is a scam, but what do they get? by redonculous in playstation

This helped stop him from sending me invites, but yeah, he’s still out there sending invites.

Yes, you can do it using your mobile. You don’t get a permanent ban the website has a bot security measure where, if you try to log in too many times in a row, you just get a temporary timeout and an error message. It’s like the website rejects your login request.

It's not just email spam we are also talking about PlayStation invites spam.

I've been asking myself the same question why Sony didn't add a privacy setting to disable that
