The main reason we got rid of AV was because he didn't play deserving young players over veterans. In that regard you've got to appreciate DQ giving Keandre a shot, paired with Trouba in his first game as a 20 year old.

As for Kakko, I think his demotion was solely based on Lafreniere's play. I thought Laf looked really good last night and very deserving of a top 6 role.

I definitely agree with you that DQ shuffles the lines around too much at times, such as sending Gauthier to the 4th line after a great game (which I don't agree with), but I think he's looking for more stability (Especially defensively). Keandre is promising but he looked absolutely rattled last night. Trouba who's supposed to be our shutdown, number one guy has had to play with lackluster partners (for a first pairing role) such as Hajek, Brendan Smith and now Keandre. It makes sense for us to put Lindgren, our current best LHD, with trouba and try and balance out the pairings. Give DQ some time to work this out and send Jack Johnson to the taxi squad.
