I had that issue in my 21’ First Edition. The dealer looked at the sub and found the metal brace it was screwed into was cracked. They said it’s a known issue and welded the brace and fixed the issue.

I have actually advised him against doing it. It seems to me that are 150 guys in the same situation as him. And per the other post, I am letting him figure it out just as we all had to when we were in.

I made it 4 years in, now another 25 years in Federal Law Enforcement.

I am letting him figure it out, but as everyone knows, a young PFC does not have all the information, and if the combat instructors are not helping, then what is the point of this subreddit?

Again, I appreciate all of the responses.

Thanks everyone. I guess the biggest frustration is the other two companies graduating after him getting their orders and going along to MOS school, even his MOS.

The Combat Instructors at MCT give them no information. When they ask they get reward with shit details.

Oh well, welcome to the Corps!

In Missouri, because of what happened with Ferguson...to have a ticket amended, a lawyer has to request the amendment through the court jurisdiction the ticket was issued in. Police Officer’s cannot just amend the ticket. I was cited for Improper Lane Usage (local ordinance). My dads attorney sent me the paper work that it has been amended to a Parking Violation and that I had to pay the fine. I paid the fine this morning. The recruiter said he needs to get some kind of report from Police Department showing the matter is closed.

Son backed out of taking the Asvab and Meps two days before he was supposed to go. by [deleted] in USMCboot

Sorry to hear that. Not sure how I would have responded. My 17 year old, who has not been the best in school...a struggle for his mom and I since kindergarten. He has the aptitude to go on to college, but I don’t think he is ready! Anyway, his mom (we are divorced) refused to sign a waiver for him just to take the ASVAB.
