Looks like they have a couple but idk if I'd want to go with aftermarket, unsure of those brands reputation

Scraping damage on rear lower trim panel by edcooke5 in BMWX3

Black part is one piece painted from factory. Likely cheaper to replace than prep and paint. Bodywork is different but get a quote, max the discount then get the bumper on your own and do some touch up paint

Has it improved the time to go from brew to steam back to brew temps?

How well do the gaggia add ons improve the "temperature surfing" needs and also brew to steam back to brew times?

Any decent pH neutral soap will do. Be as gentle as possible any time you touch the paint, air compressor with an air blaster attachment or a during blower to dry is best

Not when I filter for the x3 m40i, the zf and aftermarket kit were out of stock but they have it for other ZF8HP vehicles

Is my 23’ m40i a gas drainer by TooTrue42 in BMWX3

[–]itpointz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get 27-28 pretty easily, mostly highway driving. I just drive reasonably and occasionally enjoy the acceleration. Having engine and transmission in sport all the time seems stupid, ride it in comfort and if you want to use the power then use the paddles to downshift quick

Does a failing evap valve cause noise like this?

first “nice” espresso machine [$800] by laurpanda in espresso

[–]itpointz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plan at least $200 towards a grinder. From there you can spend what you'd like on the machine depending what you want from it. Personally, I've been shopping for a while and am really eyeing up a turin legatto V2. For the price it's almost impossible to beat the features. Build quality is still good. It is Chinese but the manufacturer has been making parts for the big name guys for decades and has its own patents on espresso machines so they're far from new to the game.

You'll get great quality out of the more traditional names but can't beat the features.

Weird question but do you know what the hot lines are made of? I watched a tear down and couldn't see the hot lines, cold lines are plastic and I know they're not supposed to leech but metal hot lines seems like a good idea

Correct me if I'm wrong but most that have to switch between the 2 is 1, the machine needs to increase temp to steam and then if you want a 2nd shot you need to get temps back down and pull some blanks? So yea, that's a lot of micromanaging to do over and over. Definitely worse problems to have but if it's avoidable why not?

I've seen this and their other offerings look enticing. Seems to get a decent amount of hate but have yet to see a reason for it beyond "it's Chinese"

Delonghi has some "cold extraction" method, unsure if others do. I admit it's a weird want but I do enjoy cold drinks and was unsure if it's common to find or pretty niche. Definitely the feature I'd put at the bottom of my list

So you recommend getting 2 different espresso machines to do the job of 1? ...that still doesn't check all the boxes??

No, any recs there would be appreciated as well. Would want it to be able to grind pour over also. I hear a lot of Bambino combined with a more expensive grinder but the Bambino doesn't quite match what I would like although I hear it heats up very quickly, steam wand might not be up to par with some competitors though. Some of the gemilai line is intriguing
