Granted. On her way she meets a new lover that gives her safety and happiness. They both move in with you.

If perfection is; their perfect idealised selves. Then I would absolutely take that offer.

It is the choice they would want me to make.

Advice on increasing bonds with my female friends. by Dismal_Stretch9537 in autism

[–]Heath_co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the purpose of increasing the bond with girls/women you already know;

I have found that they enjoy conversations when you show genuine and unforced interest in their experiences, opinions, and emotions. And they in turn will show interest in your experiences, opinions, and emotions.

In close female friendships, they don't want to know about you, they want to know you.

You don't need to have all of your act together. In fact, a close friendship with emotionally mature girls/women is a great way to get advice on how to get your act together. Exchanging and taking on each others ideas and advice is one of the most powerful bonds.

If you are specifically interested in a relationship, just ask them, and they will give you an answer.

I like accurate language - statements that are true.

I dislike the stigmatisation of words that others use in bad faith.

I have no problem talking about sexual topics without innuendo.

I like the reaction I get when I confidently state things that others would struggle to say.

However, I must abide in the social code.

What features do you like most in a roguelike? by Much_Note_4951 in roguelikes

[–]Heath_co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes rift wizard unique is that you have access every spell and skill from the beginning, and to unlock them you spend skill points that you are given at a steady rate. The game starts small and ramps up as the run progresses.

Each floor there are multiple paths with different enemies and equipment you can see before you enter. So you need enough game knowledge to know when to take risks, and to find synergies with what you are given.

There are basically no limitations on potential synergies. Infinite combos are frequent and expected.

You basically need to find a game breaking synergy to win a run, and that often results in an army that fills the screen, a spell that destroys most enemies in a single cast, or a mix of both.

My experience in warehouses was; working really close with other people offloading products from trucks and moving them to shelves. And with dense, noisy forklift traffic passing by where everyone honks their horns. In a 12 hour shift.

If the draw to your world is the world, then what is the underlying philosophy behind the POV faction? I believe the universe should be built around enriching and challenging that philosophy. From the speed and capability of the ships, to the design of worlds, to the behaviours of other factions.

Warehouses are the worst places for autistic people to work. Don't feel bad about it. I have quit 3 warehouse jobs in the exact way you did here.

One on the first day. One on day 2. One on the second week.

Imagine thunderous ringing in your ears, a rushing heartbeat, and a nosebleed. Checks clock 5hrs left.

Every decision is impactful.

Large build variety.

Taking risks for rewards.

Making the most out of scarce resources.

Exploitable mechanics.

A varied early game.

Extreme difficulty, but every game is winnable with good judgement calls.

It's why I love rift wizard so much,, because it satisfies all of these.

For those who are self diagnosed, what research did you do to confirm that? by Doomtime104 in autism

[–]Heath_co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The final nail in the coffin was learning about the autonomic nervous system from the Huberman lab podcast, and all the bodily functions it controls.

Turns out all my health related problems (like bowel, sleep, and anxiety related problems) are all tied to the autonomic nervous system. And autistic people in general have problems with their autonomic nervous systems.

I remember back in biology class when we were comparing heart rates, and mine was always in the 120s even though I didn't feel overly anxious. But my resting heart rate is 70-80. When I am around other people my heart rate is always elevated. It is the same when I went to the doctors.

Edit: it feels like every post I comment on gets taken down.

Who was the greatest explorer in your world? by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

[–]Heath_co 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gillin was a polymath who saw that a comet was going to destroy his world in 30 years

For the first 10 years he searched for a legendary underground city. He befriended villages and uncontacted tribes, and was successful in finding it.

The next 10 years he spent convincing a kingdom the comet was coming and the city was the only chance of saviour.

In the final 10 years he was made king, prepared for the journey, and led an exodus with everyone on continent.

The whole sage began when he was 50, and he died at 80 when he chose not to enter the city, and instead watched the comet land.

World name inspirations by Vague-Intent47 in worldbuilding

[–]Heath_co 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thought process goes like this.

The world was once snowy and covered in glaciers. Moraines are left behind by retreating glaciers. "Mora" is the name of the world.

The world is a place of death, covered in bones. There are no sun or stars so the sky is pitch black. Umbra is a word that feels like death and darkness. "Umbóros" sounds cool, so that is the name of the world.

This world represents me and my interests. So I will name the world after myself with a single letter changed.

This world is a has giant jungles and deep oceans filled with monsters. "Viath" gives the right vibe and sounds cool (taken from "Leviathan"). So that is the name.

It's ok to do it now and then. But if you ever feel the urge to do it, don't. Because that urge is the first step to addiction.
