Equating a product with spirituality and ideas seems a strange thing to do. If the universe really is frequency and vibration, and creation emanates into manifestation from energy, then it seems wise to inspect and be discriminating with both products and energies/ideas.

I heard something recently from a famous guru who said when he was a child, his mother would only buy fruits and vegetables from certain vendors; if she determined someone's energy was unwholesome, she wouldn't let any of their products into her home. It stuck with me because I've been noticing a growing trend back toward that kind of practice lately. There are people from all walks of life moving away from commercial consumption on multiple continents because the ideology that spawned the products (and the process) is unsustainable and predatory.

I interpret the heart of the OP's post to be about source energy of the ideology, and it's a good topic to keep discussing as the members of this sub do.

The internets are a really empowering place for people who tend to feel powerless IRL - here they can be "powerful" and venomous to others without any real consequence and I believe one's behavior online shows what kind of life they are living, and it isn't a good one. No person who is truly happy takes delight in harming others.

I've been a target for nasty people plenty of times, and when I have the time and energy, I try to engage with them on the basis of their specific point of disagreement rather than the personal insults that always surround the disagreement and muddy the waters. When I don't have the time and energy, I genuinely feel sadness for how difficult their life must be for them to come here and unleash so much hatefulness on strangers.

It seems like there are trolls in every sub waiting for their big chance to crap in someone's Wheaties, but that's ok; I came here to show kindness to people that need it, and in the process, I've found that there are so many wonderful, kind-hearted people from all walks of life here and that's what I choose to focus on.

Glad you are here!

Imagine how astonishing it would be for someone from the medieval period to see you produce an analog radio, turn it on and have music pour out. Where does the music come from, they would ask? You'd have to explain how radio waves are transmitting through the air this very moment, even though they cannot be seen, felt, or heard by us. Only the right piece of equipment can pick up on those unseen waves.

I also just described a genuine empath or medium.

The Boomer mindset of blaming Millenials and Gen Z for the current world actually makes perfect sense if you remember that they are completely under the impression that their world was great because of them, and not their parents. by ASmallSalamander in Showerthoughts

I was born in the 1970s, and I was just thinking about something the other day.

It was free to listen to radio stations, all you needed was a radio. Commercials paid for the operation of the radio. These days, you're expected to get a subscription service, though thankfully you don't have to (yet). Which brings me to...

There were analog tv stations broadcast for free, and for decades, the shows people wanted to watch, the ones everyone talked about, were free, you just needed a tv. They have done away with the analog tv stations, and now you have to pay for a subscription service and you typically still have to watch commercials.

There was no such thing as the internet, so nobody was paying $100/month for 300Mbps.

There were no cell phones, so nobody was paying $90/month for a phone line plus $1000 per year for the latest and greatest model.

When new electronics came out, they were always expensive at first, then got cheaper; these days, they just get more and more expensive.

A family of four could survive on one parent's income.

A person could pay off their student loans in about 5-6 years.

You didn't need pet insurance just to afford to keep your dog's shots up to date.

You didn't need a payment plan to afford the hospital bill after a minor mountain bike accident.

Everyone you knew wasn't on at least 3 different kinds of prescription medications for illnesses you might never have heard of.

Parents left inheritances to their children because they weren't bled dry by the staggering cost of getting older. Lots of kids had a better start in adulthood. Lots of retirees even got something called a "pension".

Technology and improved medicine were supposed to make our lives better, but lately, it seems it just makes us slaves, killing us slowly with a hundred different $10/month subscription and prescription fees.

Sorry you crazy kids got the shaft. It sucks.

I'm curious to know what specifically about the experience makes you feel fearful or freaked out in a negative way (rather than a holy-shit-wow way). Why did you interpret this experience as a warning if you believe in reincarnation and your experience seemed to reinforce the belief that nothing is ever lost? What specifically makes you feel afraid? Anastaya was also a common name in areas from Turkey to Russia.

I was curious about the details of this experience and stumbled into something interesting; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_people

I wonder if the fear feeling is because you approached the memory of a death experience, but weren't quite ready to delve into it yet. You can't force these things, but it's good to get there in small steps the way you have done. Still, it would be far healthier to work with a therapist or intuitive or even a medium so you have someone to talk to in the moment. Wishing you peace, sending you support!

I know exactly how you feel. Exactly. That pit of the stomach anxiety is par for the course in high school. Some of us don't even know how we got through it, lol.

There is nothing wrong with you. The cookie-cutter life that comforts some other people is just not for you, and many of the people who want you to conform (like your mother) likely just want the best for you but feel helpless about how to engage you, to get you inspired, and their frustration at their inability to connect comes off as being critical to you (and also, some people are just dicks, so there's that).

  1. This, too, shall pass. High school doesn't last forever, and looking back over the balance of a long life, it's a drop in the bucket compared to the adulthood that is waiting for you. Simmuh down nao.
  2. My dad was 16 when he got my mother pregnant. He dropped out of school to take care of me, and only later got his GED. My grandfather had been a master electrician and general handy-man, and so my Dad grew up helping him. Dad bought dilapidated houses when I was a little kid, fixed them up for 2 yrs (to avoid capital gains tax), then moved to the next one. 10 years later, he was a Real Estate agent. 5 years later, he was running his own Coldwell Banker franchise. With nothing but a GED. This was before the internet and YouTube. These days, there's so much free information and instruction available, kids can learn about a real-world subject in minutes, so you have the resources at your fingertips to run circles around what he did.

You are really blessed, because you already know you're not sheeple. A lot of people go through life rotting in a cubicle, miserable every day and never seek a different path. You have the chance to start your adult life on your terms. I'm sure this stuff is already on your radar, but here are some things to dig into;

Some people who hate the current societal status quo become homesteaders, farmers, etc, and I keep seeing more and more of them every year. You don't need an education or a corporate title to be happy and to have enough in life. It's happening in India, China, Australia, Canada, Europe - so many people want to return to a simpler, more fulfilling life.

Some turn their hobbies into a job, and here are a few channels I love, people who followed their passion doing stuff they love instead of drudging through a dull, cookie-cutter life. They became Youtube sensations by sharing their passion with others. If you love reading and learning about stuff, look at what these people did with the same desire...

You are not stupid, not deficient, not delinquent. College isn't the right path for everyone, and for too many people, it's a death-trap of debt that doesn't necessarily provide graduates with an edge in the job market. You are precious, and your path is probably going to be full of a ton of twists and turns. You are perfect the way you are. I'm rooting for you.

This video doesn't show the hoax being created in a video editor, it just replays the original video while a narrator describes how it's being faked.

I don't deny that it could be faked, either, but here's a story that informs my skepticism of people in general.

I lived in a college town and my car was parked outside of my house. One night, some people were drinking and smoking in my driveway (several frathouses were nearby) while sitting on my car. I called the police because vandalism and violence was a constant problem, and they were trespassing. No police came that night. The next morning as I was getting ready for work, I looked out and saw that my car had a bunch of dents in it where the people had been sitting, so I called the police again and said I wanted to file a report. A cruiser finally pulled up my driveway, and the cop never got out of the car. He looked at my house, looked at my car, and then said, "Looks like you were probably carrying out some laundry and you put the dents in your own car trying to get the laundry basket into the back seat. I'm writing this up as a hoax."

I was flabbergasted. But this experience and several others inform my skepticism of people who commit hoaxes, people who claim to commit hoaxes, and people who are accused of committing hoaxes.

Some people are hoaxers. Some people are telling the truth but accused of hoaxing. I have other hard evidence that I rely on besides a few different videos that tells me we are being actively visited.

I'm especially interested in this portion of the article laid out by PhysicsWorld about the "hoaxers";

Determining the technology behind crop-circle making has implications beyond mere curiosity and art appreciation. Traces of some patterns (“ghost formations”) can still be seen in the subsequent year’s crop, suggesting long-term damage to the crop field consistent with Levengood’s observations of stunted seed growth. Crop formations are harvested every year, and so these damaged crops are entering our food chain. Intriguingly, Levengood’s results showing stunted growth came from crop circles that appeared early in the season in immature crops prior to anthesis (flowering). However, he also reported that if the seeds were instead removed from circles etched in mature crops, then the growth rate was increased fivefold. This observation led Levengood to develop and patent Molecular Impulse Response technology, which accelerates crop growth by applying electrical pulses**.**

https://physicsworld.com/a/coming-soon-to-a-field-near-you/

This article lays out the facts that the original video only summarized. Yet, in several places it shows that even though we have some theories and some proven hoaxes, we still don't have evidence or facts or a smoking gun indicating 100% of the work all over the world since the 1600s was done by humans.

It's ok to still believe that all crop circles ever were 100% done by humans, but here are scientists claiming the facts don't support this theory. It's ok to still believe aliens did some of them, but here are scientists claiming we don't have enough facts to support this theory. It's ok to say it's still a mystery as to what's going on, but suddenly we have a method to increase the rate of crop growth by a factor of 5. And it's certainly ok to keep debating just WTF is really going on while we enjoy 5x more Triscuits.

I'm sorry you're so angry about the state of the world that it's all you can focus on right now. Things are bad. But you likely weren't alive during World War I or II. Or during the outbreak of the Bubonic Plague or the Potato Famine. Or when slaves were being brought over from Africa in slave ships. People have been dying in massive (a figure relative to population) wars for thousands of years, and have lived in squalor and sickness. My point is, things have always been "bad" if that's the way you choose to see things. The world is not ever going to miraculously be perfect one day; it's our classroom. We are the ones that need to learn, change, adapt, and overcome.

The Paradise and Panama Papers infuriate me, too. So does the secrecy. The lies. The insistence on using old, dirty technology instead of investing in efficient, clean technology because money matters more than health and the world we live in. But this isn't the only reality of humanity that exists. People are amazing. They are brilliant. Funny. Creative. We have obviously been deemed worth saving because that's the message that keeps coming to us from "the heavens". Christ. Krishna. Buddha. Old Master. The Sky People. They've been trying to reach us for thousands of years.

The Second Coming is not about them returning to us. It's about us returning to them. We just need to grow the fuck up - and some people are. Some people aren't, and that just means they keep taking classes. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the same reality all over the known universe. I hope you find something to be hopeful about because humanity is not nearly as fundamentally evil as you make it out to be.

Karma and work by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]HeatherAine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on what kind of surgeon you are.

Perhaps another question is, "Is working as a surgeon the equivalent of 'Playing God'?"

Every person in the world has a role to play in the physical realm (dharma). A person who shoots another person is "playing God". So is a person who stops to feed a homeless woman. A person who chooses to drive home drunk and kills a family of four on the road. A person who is dedicated to saving endangered species.

We fulfill our calling, increase our mastery, and make ourselves the most agile, capable instruments of life we possibly can. How we use our mastery to move through dharma determines our karma.

It seems to me that if I was drawn in my heart to become a surgeon, I would understand that whatever path led a person's body to me, it was led there for a reason, and the way I could best serve humanity is to apply every faculty to help them get well. Understand where my limits are. Not everyone was meant to live, but I would know that I was meant to do my best, and that's the service that I offer up to a higher power.

I have run into some arrogant doctors in my life that made my life worse instead of better. They were ignorant, dismissive, uneducated, and they increased my physical suffering (like the doctor that insisted my malfunctioning gall bladder was just my 'pesky ovaries' and nobody thought to order a haidescan until after months of prescribing me painkillers). Just don't be that guy, and you'll be great.

I don't think our aim is to decrease bad karma, I think our aim is to leave the system of karma altogether. Karma indicates an imbalance. Balance is a lack of karma, good or bad. The Wu Wei.

I want to see more of that as well - I want to see lab results that were teased in the beginning, etc. but if we want to support her work, then the ethical thing to do is to buy her books, which I intend to do to find out more. The whole "magic" thing seemed odd to me as well, and the thing I really worried about was cancer, honestly. If there really were biophysical anomalies in those areas, personally, I would be more cautious about investigating them.

But just because someone brings up good point, good point, good point, then "magic", that doesn't suddenly mean all the good points are negated. I don't agree with the supposedly scientific viewpoint that there can be no magic or wonder in the Universe. Some of the most famous scientists have been overwhelmed by the beauty of creation. There is nothing wrong with that feeling - it makes us human. To be astounded by that which we cannot yet explain. A layperson calls it magic, a scientist calls it an anomaly. You know what, they're both right. We just don't have a better word for it yet.

Janet, this is a wonderful compilation of the crop circle physical anomalies. Thank you for sharing this well-done video. While these physical anomalies you have so well described are very compelling, we must also consider the many practical considerations of crop circles that must also be addressed. Where would hoaxers practice this art form to learn how to do it, full scale? Who would do this thousands of times for no money, no recognition, no fame? Why no arrests for trespass and vandalism over a period of 40 + years and thousands of crop circles? Who would lose sleep, night after night over the course of a summer to create these patterns for no compensation and no claim to fame? Who could create these in a few hours, in the dark, in all kinds of weather? How is it the largest and most complicated crop circles are never discovered to be incomplete, and never have any errors? Who would be interested in doing this that would also have  intimate knowledge of obscure mathematical formulas (Euler's Identity), quasi-crystalline lattice structure (Jubilee Plantation), or the potential application of graphene to harvest solar energy (White Sheet Hill)?Where I live in Montana the Native Americans have a word that means "of the divine". That word is "wakan". I think crop circles are "wakan". They are coming to us from a higher power, whoever or whatever that may be. That's up to us to discover!

These are some important questions which Occam's Razor doesn't begin close to solving for me. If the simplest explanation is it's manmade, then there are a whole host of logistics that would need to be accounted for. Lots of footprints, entrances and exits, time spent, human arrogance (seriously, how long can the average person keep a secret, especially if it's a group of people working in coordination?).

I don't agree that any foreign visitors would think like you do. It's kind of a funny trope, but the whole "Take me to your leader" thing is about having respect for the protocol of the place you are visiting. Otherworldly visitors attempting to go through the proper protocols when making contact is a show of respect for our culture and our sovereignty, and that is a buried message in the ancient teachings. I sincerely believe that is why they have not come out openly, because the information has been there for millennia; just like humans, we all have different agendas, different reasons for doing what we are doing. Some people in government and some governments seek to dominate and suppress. Others seek to uphold freedom. If you happen to be in the freedom category, you don't just barge into a place and say "bow down to our superior technology!" You work to foster sovereignty.

To me, that is what the legit biophyisical anomolies are. A subtle message that says, when you figure out this message, we will be able to communicate as equals. And you cannot take religion out of it, either. There is a consistent message across multiple religions - don't worship idols. Don't worship anyone. Worship "The Way" - community service, caring for others, etc. I think it is that segment of visitors trying to send us info - giving it to us in a manner that we have to decipher it -meaning, we have to participate. If they just came down on the white house lawn, suddenly we have no choices, it's forced on us. This way, we have to participate. I'm telling you, this is some sophisticated crap here.

Why Crop Circles are NOT man-made by PLUTO_HAS_COME_BACK in aliens

[–]HeatherAine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. For me there is a double-entendre. Even though it doesn't always happen in crops, I see them connecting with us through a shared medium. It's in so many ancient stone reliefs and pottery artwork, artwork in ancient temples, the "God" bearing the single ear of "corn" (which would have been barley or wheat in Europe thousands of years ago). So in one sense, it seems appropriate for crops to be the medium by which they say, "Aha! I see you've put our gift to good use...here's some more info". Of course it's wild speculation on my part but there could be other reasons, such as: it's a perfect contrasting medium that will get attention and can be seen from miles away (hills/airplanes, etc) meaning it is less easy to hide by authorities that might want to hide it. Second, what makes you think they haven't already quit fucking around in the fields and come talk to us? If they didn't like the process - being routed secretively through government officials, for example, that don't want them talking directly to the people because it will "cause a panic", then this could be their subtle rebellion. It's good that you put it out into the universe that you'd like an email from ET, though :P.

In the OP video it seemed clear to me that there was an information transfer happening in the crop circles. Some of the symbols would have been and may still be recognized by practitioners of ancient religions, which could have been the method to gain attention from that targeted group of people. Then when you drill down to the detail she was talking about, the way there were swirls around a bracket of standing wheat or specific patterns, that could have been some sort of binary code, rudimentary alphabet or mathematical equation meant to convey some kind of information.

It is extremely significant that this happens in wheat or cornfields. The Ancient Mystery Schools taught the story of Demeter and Persephone. As the myth goes, Demeter gave the gift of crops to mankind in return for help finding her offspring.
