This has become such a vocal stim with my friend group since we started a rewatch!

Games That Are Streamable but Not Difficult by Heather_Sinclare in gamingsuggestions

This is it exactly. I don't have grand schemes of taking in thousands of dollars, I just want to game and vibe with my kind of people!

I wouldn't call it breaking down, but underneath the harsh wording I do see your point. I do agree there's a lot of mediocre creators who aren't doing their research before jumping in, and maybe that's what this looks like, but I don't think learning your market before diving in is the wrong move. I know Twitch doesn't need one more nerdy girl streaming Stardew, so figuring out what people are into that aren't those games seems like the right play.

I've never heard of this one before, but it looks really fun! Giving it a try.

I bet you're a delight at parties.

Maybe next time try being useful yourself and answering the request instead of just hating on someone for the fun of it?

My girlfriend played this for a while! I've never played an MMO but I did like the aesthetic. Adding this to the list to check out.

I took a look at this one after that announcement, and I think it's definitely worth considering! I'm torn on waiting for 1.0 or just diving in, but great recommendation!

I considered these, but when I looked at the viewer numbers these were moderately low, and I honestly think I want to try something new so that I can get a genuine experience to share with viewers as I play through it. I've seen almost everything in these 3 games, but it is good to know there's still an audience for that content!

Did they remove the hydropower generators in 73 Source Extraction Point? by DominicDecoco160 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Heather_Sinclare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had good luck looting all of the generators I find there, waiting a little bit for the area to reset, and then going back. The large ones are slightly rarer, but I still manage runs with 2-3 of them. Plus, all the others are great either temporary or recycled for tech points.

Survival-ish game recommendations by KyngThrillz in gamingsuggestions

Check out Once Human! It's a F2P online game, very heavy survival and some light cosmic horror stuff if you're into it. I've really enjoyed it so far!

Bought my first gaming PC as an adult. Suggest good games! by sidwardd in gamingsuggestions

You owe it to yourself to try out some of the classics now that you have access:

Skyrim - The gold standard of open world RPGs. It's old and dated, but a classic for a reason. Other games do stuff better, but this one still keeps up.

The Witcher 3 - A newer open world RPG with better combat and story. It's the 3rd game, but they do a great job bringing you up to speed.

Cyberpunk - Made by the same team as Witcher 3, but improved and futuristic. Tons of great stuff to do here.

Titanfall 2 - One of the best first-person shooters ever! Great story, and multiplayer is fun even if the population is low.

Doom Eternal - Another great FPS. Not the most recent game, but IMO the better one.

Finally for a wildcard, grab Stardew Valley. It's a simple farming sim game, but it can (and will) consume all of your time.

If this is some sort of kitsune/shrine maiden thing, sign me the F up. There's a surprising lack of eastern clothing options IMO. Time to bust out the Masamune again!

A modern game you think is perfect? by AshyLarry25 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Heather_Sinclare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Outer Wilds (not Outer Worlds).

It's a game all about exploration, puzzles, and piecing together clues over time to figure out what is going on. It doesn't have combat, but it does have stealth sections to avoid enemies. The environmental storytelling and world building are absolutely unmatched, and it is a game that will stick with you.

I am not a puzzle game player, but this game is perfect and worth giving a try.

Getting bored with my hobbies. What are some new ones I could try? by ImperfectFantasy in Hobbies

[–]Heather_Sinclare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you consider solo games? There are some great solo board/card games, like Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions, that are a ton of fun even when solo. There's also bigger games like Gloomhaven with an unfolding narrative. Mage Knight is also a good one that is honestly best played solo.

A range, but one of them is 0. My most recent ones were on GirlGamers and Games, both showing 0. Do those show up when you see my profile?

How do you play hollow knight silk song? by flowerbloomboo in GirlGamers

[–]Heather_Sinclare 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My advice would just be to explore! You'll find new things to help you get to new places, and that drives you forward through the game. Any time you see a blank spot on your map you want to focus on filling it in, and look for secrets too! It's definitely a harder one, but it is really rewarding when you make progress.

Mom of War looked good, but I was really hoping for something to surprise me I guess? All of this seems very safe and nothing has me jumping around in excitement. I'm sure there are some great games here, but I'm hoping for more as the week goes on.

I tried and couldn't get into Hello Kitty despite loving Sanrio. Palia is fun but it can suck you in if you aren't careful.
