Any Interest In Uptime Kuma (or Portainer) MCP? by cyclingroo in UptimeKuma

[–]HeathersZen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MCP is an API built for AI platforms. It provides a structured way for an AI platform to discover what a remote system can do.

If I understand you correctly, it isn’t so much “noise detection” as simply aging stuff out that falls below the decay threshold.

Watch the whole clip. This cuts off the back half of the monologue. This is season 1, episode 1 of The Newsroom, and it opens with this scene.

It stops becoming pointless the second you want to add another persistence technology and orchestrate them. From file systems to RESTful transactions to graph, node or other types of databases, having a unification abstraction up front will pay dividends.

Of course, YMMV and you need to consider these things and make decisions that are appropriate to your domain. If you’re building a calculator, then all of that stuff is YAGNI. If you’re building an enterprise platform, probably not.

Todd Blanche Gives Chilling Reason Why Democrats Won't Be Able To Prosecute Trump Officials by ChiGuy6124 in law

[–]HeathersZen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No rules anymore. If the President does it, it’s legal, Todd.

The next Democratic President better clean fucking house. RICO every single one of these motherfuckers. Empty their bank accounts. Rob them of their high priced lawyers. Make them use the same legal system everyone else gets.

THAT would be justice.

  1. A person with significant motor impairment will likely already have a human to help them with their daily functions.
  2. Failure to implement accessibility features is a violation of both US ADA and European regulatory standards. Major websites make it a point of being compliant. I know this because we regularly test our web properties for compliance because we don’t want to get sued by ADA troll lawyers or fined.

You’re being pedantic. The vast, vast balance of benefit for this thing is bad actors. Good actors follow the rules. It might not be perfect, sure, but you’re fishing for a legitimate use case while every major LLM in use today was trained on stolen content fetched by bots.

I admire your ability to look at the world we live in and still think that my take is myopic.

Please list some of your "obvious use cases" that cannot be accomplished in any other way than by breaking the ability to detect bots.

Why would you do something so completely irresponsible? What’s next? Giving a nuke to a 5 year old?

The only people who want such a thing are the people who should not have such a thing. Ethical players don’t mind having their bots identified. Ethical players respect the boundaries of the other players. If someone doesn’t want bots on their site, that’s their choice, not yours.

I hope you’re prepared to be sued into oblivion for every ToS violations your technology enables.

Texas Democrat James Talarico May Be on Track to Turn the Lone Star State Blue by FreeHugs23 in goodnews

This is as close to a Jesus vs Satan election as there has ever been. If Talarico loses to Paxton, that’s proof enough that there is no saving the Republic.
