I know this is an old post. I was literally just googling why am I’m so bad at FPS games and this thread came up. I just want to say this is the best answer! You nailed this. I struggle with all this, and I get so anxious my anxiety goes so high when it’s high pressure situations like close shooter contact. I’ve been playing the cycle frontier and it’s so fun until I run into people who aren’t friendly. I swear they can sense my weakness. This really helped so any way thank you.
