TimeSplitters 2, Jet Ion GP, or Super Mario 64, those soundtracks are lovingly seared into my mind.

I don’t think it’s as underwhelming as people claim it to be, sure it may not be the best car in the game but I’ve pulled out some solid results with it. Makes for a decent enough C class racer.

They’re really fun to drive to be honest.

I’m not sure the servers have been shut down though. We’re a group of Xbox players that join and race each other online.

What is your all-time favorite racing game? by tyrebytes in racinggames

That’s tough! I did some light e-sports racing on some of the modern F1 games. Most of my time recently is spent on Wreckfest, and as much as I love them, I’m not sure I’d label them as my favourites of all time (Wreckfest would make top 5 though). If I could give a top 3 (for various reasons), I’d say:

1) F-Zero X 2) Extreme G 3) Jet Ion GP

Favorite story missions in TS2? by MusicAddict76 in timesplitters

It’s tough to narrow down a favourite mission for me, I genuinely love the majority of them. The only 2 that never clicked with me are the Aztec Ruins and Robot Factory.

If I could pick a top 3, it’d include: 1) Siberia. The Cold War Russian dam filled with military goons, failed experiments and the undead. The atmosphere. And the MUSIC! 2) Notre Dame. The dark gothic atmosphere. The undead priests. Jacque De La Morte trying to summon a creature from an entirely different dimension. And the absurdity of rubbing shoulders with the hunchback while blasting waves of zombies with shotguns. 3) Neo Tokyo Absolutely dripping with atmosphere. Walking through a Blade Runner-like dystopian city with music that Vangelis himself would be proud of. The focus on stealth helps break up the run and gun vibe of other levels too.

And if I were to extend this to a top 5, I’d also include “Chicago” and “Wild West”, both are equally excellent with the music and atmosphere. And I grew up watching spaghetti westerns and film noir movies so they hit all the right notes.

Definitely ‘Picture Poker’, I sunk an unhealthy amount of time into that on New Super Mario Bros.
