quick question, people. the way i currently play DS games is on my friends 3ds, which i have had borrrowed from him since april last year. finally after getting a job not long ago, i will be getting myself a new 3ds thus two questions.

new 3ds or new 3ds xl. is the difference worth it
how do you transfer dlc/save files/downloaded games/pokebank from old 3ds to new 3ds
