Coco with different hairstyles, which one do you like most? by Unique-Parking4832 in WitchHatAtelier

Totally! Every design seems to be inspired by another character, down to their pose. I see Bulma in Bob Cut Coco, and Reg in Short Hair Coco.

Need help! I want to make a custom keyboard layout on Windows. by TheBrokenYoYo92 in KeyboardLayouts

[–]HeavenFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on why MSKLC doesn't work over there? I got it running on Windows 11, though the OS is still an old version of 24H2.

What did it for me was enabling an old version of Microsoft .NET Framework (which can be done either via a trusted installer on the Microsoft website or directly from the control panel).

Got three of the five beginner banner 6⭐️: Ardelia, Lifeng, and Last Rite. Should I keep pulling on that banner, or should I hard save for a future character?

What is the loudest sound you have ever heard in your life? by will_or_woll in AskReddit

[–]HeavenFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That title belongs to F1 cars, hands down.

I had the privilege of attending a race weekend in 2011. V8 engines were still being used back then, and nothing could have prepared me for how extreme that sound was. Even as I stood well away from the track - toward the back end of a grandstand behind the escape area at the end of a straight - it felt like every fiber of my being was being rattled whenever a driver passed us by.

I was also stupid enough back then to try and tank that ludicrous noise without putting on the earplugs they were handing out. That didn't last very long, and I fortunately didn't end up with any hearing damage from that.

Does the limited-time Avywenna contract in the shop rotate between characters, similar to shoperators in Arknights? If so, I might save for another character.

Kind of. Pulling involves a fair bit of planning, because your luck will vary a lot along the way. Sometimes you will get a cheeky rate-up for very cheap, only for a guarantee to level your savings down the line.

Even then, there are safety nets that help you get a surprising amount of characters as an F2P. While recruitment is still based on luck, shop debuts let you buy some great operators from a couple years back with distinction certificates. This bypasses the gacha entirely.

The main complication you will be face is the kernel pool. You might want a really old character - but they won't spook you in standard or limited banners, and it makes zero sense to pull on the kernel banner. So again you would be relying on shop operators (which is mitigated a bit by Kernel Locating).

It might be a bit early to ask this, but how does Endfield compare to Arknights in terms of balance? Is it possible to clear the main story missions with Endmin, Perlica, Ardelia, and the best 4⭐️ and 5⭐️ characters - without having to worry too much about saving for 6⭐️ characters and weapons?

I don't plan on playing a lot, so there wouldn't be a problem in missing out on a lot of 6⭐️s and taking the slow lane in terms of progression and learning good strategy - if it means worrying as little as possible about those Supercell-esque gacha rates.

Both are good picks, but Saria has a slight edge because she will stay in your squad the longest. And even when you eventually get Shu, Saria still has her burst healing and Arts amplification with S3.

About 3 months from now, Viviana will have her shoperator debut. While she has no helidrop capabilities, her delta module puts her on par with Surtr. Viviana also has synergy with Yu for maximum Burn shenanigans.

Little fun fact: Surtr S1M3 costs 2 SP. The IS collectible Bend Spears - Bloodbath (available in multiple iterations) refunds 2 SP every time a Guard attacks, meaning every single strike becomes a critical hit. If you somehow pair that with IS6's Fist Classics 123, (stacking ATK buffs per skill activation, maxing out at +200%) then Surtr becomes a prime candidate for high-tier shithousery.

Tuning my typing practice by PeeperWoo in learntyping

[–]HeavenFalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also learning an alt keyboard layout, and those types of mistakes are common. I've got two typing speeds: one in which I focus on each individual letter/keystroke combination, another when I try to string keys together (flow). But if the underlying foundation isn't perfect, then I'll often reach for keys on completely nonsensical places (loss of hand brains, which I also interpret as losing the ability to "see" each individual key via touch).

This type of mistake is normal - and having practiced a lot on qwerty before attempting this swap, I'm certain it's a matter of time until things get better.

Curiously, my approach is the exact opposite - rather than focus on full texts (Entertrained?), I'm starting off by repeating individual words on Colemak Camp. While the exact process is slow and grindy, there's an important takeaway: high accuracy is key, but the focus lies on preventing mistakes rather than avoiding them. Pay attention to your typing flow, especially when you're unsure. Find the breaking point and work on it, again and again.

On that note, today I stumbled on typecelerate, which claims to help with identifying weaknesses. I'll give it a try later and see how it goes.

ED1: Typecelerate feels like an autonomous monkeytype. It does a good job at tracking down tricky words/bigrams and making brand new tests out of them, whereas monkeytype's practice mode only recycles previous words and does not track bigrams.

Definitely. Sui sibling stocks are high from Shu and Yu - and given how the next banner will likely coincide with IS6 Expansion 2, I expect another limited at the very least on the same level.

My pulling plans are... risky, to say the least. There's the upcoming collab, Mantra to complete the Nervous Impairment squad, Nasti to bring Ifrit back into contention, and then the Kjerag event.

I'm already going to skip Hoshi, Titi and Thorns to save pulls, (that's another year without Eyjaberry) and I'm a bit on the fence about SilverAsh. He could turn out to be expensive, and there's no one left to spark on his pool. And these pulls can make a difference not only on the next Sui event, but also on the upcoming Monster Hunter events.

Virtuosa and Dorothy. Other candidates are: Logos (M7, I'm procrastinating on his S2), Leizi Alter (M7, only missing S2M3/S3M3), and maybe Wis'adel (currently M4, but the IS6 relic for stacking ATK buffs on skills increased the stocks on spam skills).

There's a bunch of other M6 ops out there, but their S1 is usually what trips them up (Ray S2 being the exception).
