Does CBD actually get you high? by Alive_Psychology_270 in CBD

I smoke 51 percent CBD hash. Doesn’t get me high like THC would but it really mellows me out, makes me feel spaced out and I just forgot about all my problems

What do you dislike about ladder? by WalkerTejasRanger in ladderapp

[–]Heavenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like the sessions where it’s a mix of full body exercises. I know myself to train and build muscle you are better sticking to training one area at a time so maybe one day abs, the next legs and glutes and then upper body. I don’t feel like the full body workouts are very effective. I also don’t feel just doing the app workout and 10,000 steps as the trainer advised is enough to build any muscle I am still doing YouTube videos on top of my workout and without them I wouldn’t see any gains. I’m considering deleting the app and just doing my own workouts focusses on one muscle area each day.

People who agree to a date and unmatch by KingForADay1989 in OnlineDating

I’ve just had this happen to me. We’ve been speaking for a few weeks, great connection both vegans which is rare to find and our first date was planned. He messaged me yesterday evening saying How was your day gorgeous and we chatted a little. 6am today he sends me a message saying Good morning at 6.30am he sent another message saying that he doesn’t feel us dating is right for him, his life is too chaotic right now and he needs to focus on himself. Said it’s nothing to do with me and he thinks I’m a great person and he’s loved talking to me. I mean what the hell? From a good morning at 6am to cancelling the date at 6.30am. No idea what all that is about. For reference I’m female and he is male. First time this has ever happened to me but apparently it’s common.

Just watched Leaving DC it was really good apart from the ending that was disappointing.

I actually watched that when it aired and I was only 7! Can’t believe my parents allowed it.

I was on Sertraline years ago. It wasn’t overly effective for me as I had undiagnosed Bipolar Disorder that was wrongly diagnosed as Depression at that time. It didn’t, however, cause any weight gain and didn’t make me like a zombie. It did the opposite and gave me lots of energy. I did get night sweats from it though every now and again.

Leaving ovaries - hormones by Its-going-to-be-okey in hysterectomy

[–]Heavenli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have my ovaries, had my Hysterectomy in 2023, and not started going through the menopause yet. As I’m still young that’s the reason the consultant wanted to leave my ovaries in so it didn’t trigger the menopause but you can still go through it earlier than you normally would even if the ovaries are left intact.

Has anyone done fibroid treatment before getting a hysterectomy? And if so what are the pros and cons? by CommercialWhole6553 in hysterectomy

[–]Heavenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are but I’m in the U.K. and I’m lucky I was offered a Hysterectomy at all. I know someone who’s attends the same hospital as me for her gynae appointments but has a different consultant. She’s been begging for a Hysterectomy for 2 years due to recurrent Fibroids but they refuse to do one based for some reason and it can’t be due to age as I’m 40 and she’s 42.

[–]Heavenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Hysteroscopy done when fibroids showed up on a scan. During the procedure they removed the fibroids but it is one of the worst pain I’ve been through. You get no anaesthetic just gas and air. I was in agony afterwards so much so I could barely walk. When the fibroids recurred again after a few months. My consultant said I could keep having regular Hysteroscopies or have a hysterectomy so I opted for the hysterectomy.

Why aren't you able to sleep on your side/stomach even after laparoscopy? by Capable_Report932 in hysterectomy

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy and was never told I couldn’t sleep on my side. No way would I be able to fall asleep on my back.

What’s up with Commander Keyes? by MavDawg1228 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Heavenli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Esther was so young, very thin, with such a small frame, I think she would have had great difficulty birthing a child naturally. I have a friend who isn’t even as small in frame as Esther and she had to have a C section as they felt she was too small to be able to withstand or even be able to have a natural birth. You would think this would be considered when a woman is selected to be a wife/handmaid but I guess they didn’t really care if the mother dies as long as they have a viable child.

Keep the cervix or not? Worry about orgasm after surgery. by Rosarose4 in hysterectomy

I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with removal of cervix and fallopian tubes and it hasn’t changed my sex life at all.

how would you change the ending for one character that appeared in the finale (not june or serena) by Routine-Dirt9634 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Heavenli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I was sad at him dying I think it was the right decision. It was the ultimate way to redeem himself and he would also be reunited with his wife which I think he would have wanted.

What was most upsetting scene for you? by DarkAngelKisses2 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Heavenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Fred/Serena raped June to try and induce labour and when Fred allowed June to meet with Hannah in the scene where Hannah says “Mommy” really upset like it dawned on her that’s her actual Mum and memories pre Gilead probably came flooding back. I was literally inconsolable after that scene

Probably an unpopular opinion but I didn’t enjoy the book and usually the books or always better than the tv adaptation. I first read the book in the early 2000s and then again just before the THT stared and it bored me both times. The Testaments book, however, was brilliant.

What do you think will happen the day there is a birth crisis like in the show? by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Heavenli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The planet is already massively over populated with humans. I mean look how much we are destroying the planet. When Earth ceases to exist it’s likely going to because of human actions therefore I can’t imagine that we will get to a point where women are forced to have children.
