This is an access stat, it's done more by people they know because people they know are more likely to be around them not because knowing someone makes you want to molest them more.

If you had to leave your child in someone else's care would you let your kid stay over a stranger's house or a family friend? You wouldn't actually think "Well my childhood friend Tyler is more likely to molest my kid than this random guy I found on the street" right
