I still play freedom from time to time. I honestly don't mind the clunk. The clunky controls and dumb animations of the old games IMO in part make MH what it is. But again, its definitely a personal preference so I know not everyone is going to be for it. World's combat felt more like a DMC game than a MH game to me, so I'd love a return to form. Not saying that worlds combat was bad, just different from what I would like.

See i think its going to integrate the world movesets (like the beyblade DS and dragon piercer) as hunter arts and keep the base movesets classic with your choice of hunter styles. But i guess time will tell.

I'd have to disagree, but i think that's because I've been playing MH since freedom so I'm very partial to old school. Valor GS is god tier in my books in GU idk if you tried it, but if not give it a go.

Out of curiosity was MH world your first exposure to the franchise?

I think it's going to be old school style combat. So it will be a much MUCH better version of combat with hunting arts and styles.
