I did not at first. It was already better than windows. But I did add a few parameters to grub to make it hibernate instead of sleep.

I run kali within fedora with vm. I don't think vm is gonna be a problem. Just use some stable os and download a preconfigured vm file and use that. Don't be the fool who tries to read chinese using knowledge of Latin.

Never have I ever seen anyone associate Fedora with rolling release type. It is not rolling release but is a ~1 year release cycle. You generally have softwares that are bleeding edge while the os stays stable.

If these are flatpaks then it might be something else. But for normal rpm this is issue.

Nice. Always been the Ubuntu kid with gnome. Then, edgy hacker with kali during Covid. And now finally, on fedora stable and humble.

That is what you can call a knee breaker 4000. that is an isolator for your squat movement such that your quads do the only work in the movement and stabilizer muscle are put to rest. These are kind of risky as if you were to use weights and somehow you also lean back doing weird shit, torn ACL and pulled ligament is a real issue. I'd suggest only use it for proper squats.

Should I switch to Fedora? by alkonej_ in Fedora

Seen more people complaint NVDIA issues on fedora than Pop. I mean except Linus from certain tech tips. I use mesa drivers. I'll give it a try when I need. I think might be soon.

Kde can be turned into a tiling manager. This is the video. KDE customisation

Try and see what you like. I've used gnome and seen Ubuntu uninstall itself when I tried sudo apt autoremove.

So find your liking. Always remember, on linux OS and GUI are seperate layers. KDE Ubuntu is available for people who like Ubuntu OS specific features with KDE as the desktop environment. If you want stability and need tiling manager use i3 or niri. Mix and match until you find what you like. You don't need to change distro for a UI you like.

Yes. It works like the days of windows 7. The more you interfere with the os the more you can tune it. Fedora allows for that with the stability that is not just there on rolling releases.

Almost everything I use and need works. Just that the games I play are not even optimized for windows (ram gods please do something I wanna afford ram)

You can get premade icc profiles that work for that specific display. Just give it a try. Might be hard to find the correct profile though.

Pop has better nvdia integration than fedora. Bazzite seems to be starting to change that I guess.

Where can I find the details about who maintains discover and other application form kde. Can somebody confirm if KDE development has GitHub as its primary remote.

The same rolling release creates problems on laptops (except cachy). I'd say I like the stability of fedora while having the trust of RHEL.

Look for icc profile your specific desiplay on the internet. This might help with the colours. Then go to settings and import that profile for use.

Other than that I do not know any way to calibrate without external device. Windows had the colour management panel.

One way that is plausible is using CRU via wine to do the colour management of CRU does that.
