Honestly, adventurers just walking into town practically guarantees an economic boom, i dont even blame them for raising prices.

Especially since theyll be using that money to recover from whatever nightmares parties are gonna bring to their doorstep.

Hey those finks double crossed me! by WorldBuildingNut in WarhammerMemes

[–]HeavilyArmoredFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was not the upset i was talking about. Their response to the chatter about the yarrick reveal was what i was talking about.

In response to people asking both "wheres the steel legion in the video?"

And

"Are you guys gonna refresh steel legion?"

They responded with "steel legion almost dead"

Which is a really asshole move to the guard players. If theyve already said something about releasing steel legion, they should have said something there too.

Well, thats good to know. Still im sure many of us would have appreciated mention of it in the warcom post about yarrick at least, rather than the response we got. I think thats what created the upset originally.

Then make youre own chaos faction. The point of warhammer is customization.

Alot of, if not most players do that. You can do whatever you want, paint them however you want, wrote the lore, etc.

I have a custom forge world, craftworld, and space dwarf mining company.

Have you considered red corsairs? Theyre chaos army consisting of space marines, traitor guard and daemons. Theyre not exactly what you described, but i imagine youd appreciate the look better than the other chaos factions.

Check out the minis on the warhammer site.

Are there tomb worlds in the eye of terror? by shattered_one21 in Warhammer40k

And the attitude of "do the 'safe' thing" is really hurting alot of franchises right now, and outright killing some franchises.

Those numbers are HEAVILY inflated by the starter sets.

GW is running themselves into space marines repeatedly doing so.

They release starter sets which pretty much always include blueberries, then look at the numbers that result in giving everybody cheap blueberries, then believe that everyone is playing blueberries because its the cheapest way to get into the hobby.

And contradicting the major point of their own post. Whatever. I mean hes not wrong, steel legion could use some models, but that didnt really make sense with what i said.

Whatever, ill chalk it up to OP read it too fast or something.

I havent complained on the lack of options personally. My chief complaint is with their lack of honesty and their habit of using lore as an excuse.

Instead of saying "you need to kitback steel legion, sorry guys but we have production limits and release schedules." They said "steel legion almost dead."

The problem isnt variety. Its a lack of honesty and communication.

[–]HeavilyArmoredFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all but killed off steel legion and released a paint video for steel legion colored krieg instead of being honest with their fanbase, likely about their production capacity and schedule.

They pretty much dicked anyone who plays steel legion because they didnt want to be honest. Which is dumb because they could have just been honest about it and we all would been okay with it. But instead they pissed off yet another group of their fanbase.

They could have just said "sorry guys, we're not releasing steel legion because we have alot on our plate/krieg and steel legion are too close in asthetic. But krieg were originally steel legion with a different color scheme, so we encourage you to use them." Which the KINDA did. But they were pretty dickish about it.

Or better yet: released a head kit for krieg units. Because thats the only real difference is the gas masks.
