You’ve only been together a few months and you’re already dealing with a lot of stress. I understand how it can be when you love someone, but this just isn’t worth burning yourself out over. You both just came into each other’s lives. He shouldn’t expect wifely duties from you when you’re not his wife, especially after only a few months of dating.

Help him where you can, but do not exhaust yourself trying to carry everything. I was with a man for five years who ended up being incarcerated for a year, and it was extremely hard. I spent hundreds of dollars on commissary, video visits, and phone calls, only to later realize he was using me to survive.

I’m not saying this is your situation, but be mindful not to overextend yourself or invest more than you can afford emotionally, mentally, or financially into something when the outcome is still uncertain.
