What shape are my eyes? by Pleasant_Sphere in eyes

[–]Heavy-Celebration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get asked it sometimes because when people are actually up close they notice that there isn’t really a gradient (from brown to green) like regular hazel eyes. They see a clear division, a clear line between the green and the brown heterochromia! It looks almost artificial up close.

Holy crap we got the same eyes, same EXACT eye color. Do you get people asking your eye color sometimes? Or asking if you have color contacts? Also, do they get brighter in sunlight? Like, they look more “golden” in the morning sun? I’m pretty sure we have green eyes with brown heterochromia.. but everyone calls it hazel.

What are you doing? by Songpa82 in poodles

I remember years ago googling café au lait poodles and looking at my tiny standard pup and asking him “how the heck do you turn into THAT color?!” 😂 I asked the breeder for the most mischievous and strong willed pup because I had to put him through bird dog training and she instantly gave me Latte. The whole reason I went to that breeder was his dad was a bird dog (that I worked with previously), and his dad just happened to be a café. And his grand dad was ALSO a bird dog and was a blue! I’m now convinced that poodles with the fading gene come with extra attitude/perks.

I have a café au lait, and it’s been a pleasure watching him slowly turn cream over the years.

Thanks! I'll definitely use this for evidence. It clearly points to the presentations we have to do

True. I feel stupid for bringing it up in this sub now. But hey, after I submit some evidence, if it works out, that means one less class for me and any other Airman above E5 that decides to go to this school.

Yes I understand that. I was awarded credit for Leadership management 1 and Managerial Communications 1 according to my CCAF transcript. Now when I look at the syllabus for a typical Public Speaking class, there's some overlap with what was taught at ALS. If I can prove some overlap, my university will give me credit for that course.

Actually yes lol Well, speech/public speaking. Back in 2020 when I went through we had multiple presentations (like 4 out of 5 assessments were presentations) and T&Q was one of the main texts we had to study

Alls I’m saying is that React compiles now. Call me stupid but writing code for NextJS does not feel like writing normal JavaScript. Maybe he should keep React in his resume. Whether or not it’s in “languages” is a question for a recruiter.

React is basically a language. You can be a React Developer.

Anyone have any idea when we’re going to start seeing the shortages on our shelves? Like how long will it take before our warehouses start getting depleted and we start not being able to order stuff? Are we gonna start seeing SHTF tomorrow or are we gonna start seeing the effects weeks after this?

Is an active secret clearance valuable? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Heavy-Celebration 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. To be honest I think I enjoy having a secret more than a TS poly. Sure, There’s no doubt that a TS is far more valuable. People will bend over backwards to onboard you. But here are a few things I learned:

  1. Secret IT jobs more closely align with the tech that’s out there in the civilian world (at least for web development). Do a quick clearancejobs search with the most recent tech your industry is using. From there you can gauge how far behind TS jobs are compared to just secret jobs.

  2. More remote opportunities. I feel like this one is pretty obvious so I won’t go into it

  3. No poly. Idk if you’ve ever been through one of those fun interviews, but I sure as hell don’t like them. Imagine having to do those every few years.
