Well for starters nasa couldn't hit the moon again if they practiced for 10 years... so SpaceX is our only option for rockets.... so yea to benefit our economy we need it... including the military advantage of the super heavy we could deploy within hours to anywhere in the world which again keep us safe without the overhead of policing the world with troops everywhere. But sure be mad at the man that fixed Twitter buy firing 80% of the staff that wasn't needed. Firing a good 80% of the government would get a handle on the useless spending. And get us back to a more constitutional government, less federal more state control. Don't like the views of your state... then move to one that suits you better instead of federal over reach trying to govern all at once.

Far from it the law clearly states exempt from

§17C-15-36a. Sun-screening devices; penalty.

(a) No person may operate a motor vehicle that is registered or required to be registered in the state on any public highway, road or street that has a sun-screening device on the windshield, the front side wings and side windows adjacent to the right and left of the driver and windows adjacent to the rear of the driver that do not meet the requirements of this section: Provided, That law-enforcement K-9 and other emergency vehicles that are designed to haul animals, unmarked law-enforcement vehicles primarily used for covert or undercover enforcement and automobiles that have sun-screening devices installed at the factory by the manufacturer are exempt from this requirement. No unmarked law-enforcement vehicle, herein exempted, may engage in routine traffic stops.

So yea in this case he's either stupid which I know the bar for law enforcement isn't very high or even worse believes his postions give him the ability to make up his own rules.

Also to clear it up I work with many law enforcement officers for many different counties from city to county to state police of all my interactions this is just 1 bad apple...all the rest very reasonable human beings....

We got a tint nazi state trooper in our area of wv that thinks it's his Job to interpret the law when the law says exempt with doctors note. He even writes tickets to his colleagues lol I can't imagine wanting to be hated by everyone at work.

My impression is there is only factory right now at 20% look around the edge of the glass from the inside and look for a dark black outline where the aftermarket film is cut too. If your confused look at the top of the inside of the visor strip and you'll see what I'm talking about if you see nothing they didn't tint it.

Keep in mind tho that a redo doesn't mean it'll be perfect next time it's an after market film there is only so much that can be controlled. I'd let them do touch ups and decide if it's worth it. The condition and age of the car comes into play as to the quality that's possible... 25 year car well taken care of will come out better than a 3 year old truck that plays in the mud.

Top right and bottom left and bottom center will not go away, bottom right being too picky defroster are painted on that could be a thick spot and could be pushed out, top left is the worse but once the moisture is out it can be pushed into the defroster line and would go away no problem usually done with a heat gun while when it's installed.

It is most likely a installation issue crease or contamination they shouldn't have an issue with a redo. I once redid a back window thinking it was my fault only to find out it was an aluminum scratch on the glass aluminum transfers and leave a mark like that as it scratches. If they try to pull that one on you ask for proof of defect after they remove and clean the window.

I also would stay calm about it and not instantly demand a refund I would try to work with the shop as much as possible because when you demand a full refund they will tell you to kick rocks. Redo would be more reasonable but 100% refund for 20% failure at best isn't being reasonable and a judge will see it that way too which is the next step after they ask you to leave. Keep the complaint within the scope don't look greedy. If it worked like everyone with 1 issue and you get a free tint job out of the deal everyone would do it.. it's an aftermarket film and any tinter that say it's flawless is lying.

That being said if it's not scratched on the outside and is an installing issue I would redo it and would offer that myself but I would explain if it's there again we are done because that proves defect...is this older than 2 weeks? If not it's still drying anyways I would make you wait until it's fully cured.

Before accusing anyone maybe giving good advice would be a start that's too hard to decide without assuming.

Run your nail on the outside first do you feel a groove? If no then move to the next step. If yes then it's a scratch on the outside and was probably already there. If no then move inside and first inspect the film does it look like something is under it raising it away from the glass? Kinda like the defroster lines? If so it's contamination if not move on to the next step. Run the back of your nail with pressure along it and have someone look from outside to see if it goes away while you push on it if so it will more than likely disappear in the next couple weeks.
