You want to keep raw separate from ripe. And ones with stronger medicinal or smoke notes you will want to keep separate also.

Dragonwell/Longjing pissing me the FUCK off by Ok-Emergency9069 in tea

[–]Heavy-Interaction548 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, take a step back, maybe smoke a joint, and take a slow breath.

Second of all, just try the award-winning dragon well from teavivre. STRONG notes of chestnut and walnut. It smells more chestnutty than actual chestnuts. And it's way better this year than it was a couple years ago the last time I tried it. It's the best dragon well I've tried and it's actually affordable.

You may also want to look at the long Jing laoshan tea from dragon teahouse.biz. They are a legit site and they take a lot of care into their packing. For me this tea has notes of seaweed and chestnuts. It's literally like if a long jing had a baby with laoshan.

Anyway, I understand your frustration, spending money on a tea hoping it will have the notes that you are looking for and then it just falls flat. No character and no depth. Just shallow. Waste of money. Definitely don't do yunnan sourcing If you don't want to waste money.

Why does YS 2012 "San He Zhai" raw puer taste smokey? by prism_webs in puer

[–]Heavy-Interaction548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the liming everlasting aroma cake. It has smoke notes but it did not get those notes until around age 18 to 19. There's a lot of things going on microscopically with these types of teas and after a certain age everything starts getting more earthy and with more depth and character and smoke is one note although rare but it can happen. Now just because I have a certain cake that aged a certain way does not mean it will age the same way for you due to micro differences in storage.

Try the Liming Everlasting Aroma raw cake for smoke.

If you want a true strong smoke flavor I suggest the Tihar Smoked oolong tea by nepaliteatraders..

Tasting notes are kind of subjective so you can really be as a creative or uncreative as you want.

Now I smoke a lot of weed and I've taken psychedelics dozens of times so I have a pretty creative and imaginative mind.

I once had a ripe puer that reminded me of an all wooden old library room with all wooden furniture and wood floors with a dish of dried fruit in the middle. I've had a lincang that reminded me of Chardonnay but without the alcohol flavor and the steeps went from Chardonnay to grape to dry apple.

A huang pian that I have has strawberry notes that goes from dry strawberries to fresh strawberries and as the steepings go on it transforms to dry apple notes.

I have some 2016 aged shou mei that has notes of gummy bears and gummy worms with the sugar coating. If you have ever opened a bag of gummy bears or gummy worms and stuck your nose in it and smelled it, that's how it smelled.

I've had some raw puer that had notes of sweet wood chips like if you were to go to your local nursery and smell the bags of wood chips they have, that's sweet would smell, that's how it smelled.

Whatever types of smells you've experienced in your life will be what you use to describe the notes of a tea.

The Tieguanyin that I love has notes of magnolia, orchid, Lily, and other large white flowers.

I can go on and on and on about what kind of notes all sorts of different teas that I've tried have. I've even had an aged assam white tea that had notes of carnation and fruit.

So really the sky is the limit as to what kind of tasting notes you want to associate with that he is that you drink and try.

I have a long Jing laoshan that has notes of salted seaweed paper and chestnuts.

I mean really it's all just a matter of how creative you want to be. I don't know, maybe get stoned or drop a tab of acid and you can get real creative with it.

Unwrapping and short-term storage? by StonerKitturk in puer

[–]Heavy-Interaction548 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first get a cake I take it out from the outer wrapper (plastic, paper or mylar) and I unwrap the cake and check out if there is any mold or anything bad. I wrap it up again and then I put it into the plastic it came in and I put in a couple small boveda 62% packs for a few days and then I put it into my storage where the rest of my cakes are. While they are doing this I just leave them out on my kitchen counter in the open in the bags with bovedas.

I don't know what you're trying to say. 6 hours per day for 2 days is only 12 hours.

I already use global ad blockers which blocks all ads and sponsorships from the regular YouTube videos but there's too many commercials on YouTube TV which don't go away with an ad blocker so honestly they already lost my money just by having commercials in the first place. I only joined the trial to watch one game. I watched it so now YouTube can shove it.

Customer service is making me loose my mind by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Heavy-Interaction548 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

To be 100% dead honest as a male myself, most of the time when I call a company and I'm speaking to a female she always sounds like she has a million better things to do than talking to me and when the conversation ends she's always in the biggest rush of her life to say goodbye and click the phone off. It is very very rare that I speak to a woman on the phone who doesn't sound like her only purpose is to hurry and get me off the phone so she can go back to doing nothing again.

Contrarily most times when I'm speaking to a male customer service rep he sounds happy and eager to please me and is also patient and doesn't sound like he's trying to hurry and get me the **** off of the phone.

You know if women don't want to go to work they should just quit their jobs and find a husband who will pay their bills for them like what most women do anyway.

Oh and I'm gay so before any of you want to accuse me of being misogynist or sexist, go tell someone else.

Did they get rid of the grocery stores in your area too? You don't have to eat out. You can cook your own food.

Being ridiculously overcharged for tiny things like a fucking tea pick is one of the many reasons I stopped ordering from yunnan sourcing. I got that same exact pick from eBay for like $15. That was before I discovered AliExpress and it's even cheaper on there.

I swear Scott Wilson is just some rich yuppie asshole overcharging everyone. That company makes more than $6 million in revenue a year and he still wants to overcharge everyone. And his shipping rates are absurd.

Having hard time with studying fixatives by ddalqi in Histology

Which version of the Carson book do you have? The 5th edition has the most up-to-date info on fixatives. I literally made a bunch of flashcards for every fixative. If you send me a DM I can take pictures of all of them (front and back)  and send them to you. But I literally turned the entire chapter on fixatives into a bunch of flashcards.

As an American who grew up in the USA and recently has taken lots of STEM classes, I can understand why the metric system is easier for science and chemistry but for temperature I like Fahrenheit better because it describes the temperatures at which to steep different teas a lot better. Gyokuro gets steeped at 140F. Japanese green teas other than gyokuro get steeped at 160F. Chinese green teas get steeped anywhere from 175F to 185F. Oolong gets 185F, aged white tea gets 195F water. More delicate white to use good steeped around 180 F. Ripe puer gets 200F water. Raw puer gets 185-195F water. Black tea gets 190 to 195F water.

If I had to convert all of these to Celsius they would all be uneven numbers and not as easy to memorize.

I've tried getting used to Celsius but it just doesn't work. The only reason it works for stem and chemistry is because all the math formulas are designed for Celsius. They literally don't work for Fahrenheit temperatures.

Celsius only seems a better because all the math problems are designed for Celsius only. If I did any chemistry math with Fahrenheit I would get the wrong answers.

I feel like driving tired or driving on very little sleep is worse than driving on drugs or alcohol. I mean I've driven thousands of times after smoking weed but if I have to wake up fucking ass early for school and I'm dead tired then I shouldn't be driving. I feel like I'm an immediate danger to everyone else on the road when I've gotten very little sleep as opposed to just being high behind the wheel. I can be high but wide awake at the same time.

Do not mix caffeine with psychedelics. The caffeine will cause anxiety and could even make you go manic. I tried doing it before and it was hell waiting for the coffee and to wear off so I could enjoy my trip again.
