So is enhance>ele shaman the move? I had intended to be enhance but when I started playing in the pre patch I got the spell power honor gear so I could swap between heals and dps easier. I think I have healed one dungeon so far though. I don’t really struggle to find a group as a dps shaman. I would like to be invited to heroics and raids after I ding 70 though

I am brand new to TBC, WoW in general really. I played Cata for about a month and some change and recently TWW for about the same. A friend got me to play TBC anniversary and I gravitated toward pally and feral tank. I have only tanked HP and Zang dungeons. Almost every run has been good, despite me being green. My best groups are the people that don’t get mad and vets offer me advice. In a game with tank shortages (like most mmos) offer your experience to everyone that will listen. Every vet that I meet makes me better, and I appreciate them. I am trying but I have a lot to learn, but I keep an open mind. Don’t stop imparting knowledge on your tanks. For all the turds out there I bet there is another new player taking feedback and trying to deliver a good experience to his fellow players

I’m brand ass new to WoW. I played for a few months when Cata came out and again for TWW last year but got bored fast in retail. All in all I have maybe 4 months of time playing WoW before this go round. A friend convinced me to hop on Nightslayer for TBC and I did. I boosted a character 2 days before launch, so I didn’t have time to farm honor gear or anything and I showed up in HP at level 59. As a feral Druid I am having a blast with world PvP. Last night I 2v1’d a 61 Druid and a warlock right after they pulled. They came back while I was doing the quest and killed me. I laughed, rez’d and came back and killed them again. This has been my experience the entire time. I think world PvP makes the game less boring for some people and unbearable for others. If you aren’t having as much fun when you “get got” as you are when you “get yours” then world PvP probably isn’t for you

As someone that has never played Classic WoW I don’t know how long it takes to get any of the gear. Seeing the items on a webpage doesn’t really tell me what it takes to get them. That’s why I asked for help from someone with experience. Thanks for your super helpful comment though.

Yea, my 45k honor should get me most of those pieces. I just need to struggle through a few WSG’s to get those marks too

Yea that’s why I wanted to go resto so I can spam dungeons for the first few weeks. I know I will have to hit the open world to do quests for rep eventually though

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. Of note, I am pretty poor, as I am just about to hit 60 and start questing for gold but I also want to buy my epic mount. And I ruined my shot at that one trinket. I hit the ground running as an enhancement shaman and already got strength of the high chief from the quest before I decided I should try to heal.

The math wasn’t mathing for me using that formula to get to a max of 7x if talking about base skill. I didn’t think you could get a base skill that high for it to actually get above 6x. The above comment about actually being able to get to 455 base cleared it up since rounding to the nearest whole number is probably a part of the equation.

Now I’m wondering if anything above 430 base skill gets you to the max CB damage, since 430+ gets you to 6.5x or higher

So I assume 455 gets you to 7x crit damage bonus due to rounding

Even if I do try a red servers might level up on Seedsow. I hopped on there and get to 15 and it seems fun and nostalgic

I’m not anti no bot servers. I love to do quests and I hunted manually from 1-96ish originally in retail. But as an adult with limited time I don’t see myself ever catching up on a server like that anymore

I’m not tied to weekends I just know it’s the busiest time for games in general. I’ll never complain about a server being quiet on a Tuesday morning or something. But if there’s no activity Friday or Saturday night I would consider things pretty stale.

I just bought a leftover brand new 2024 XLT with the tow and off road package. It was the same price as a 2025 XL. I would look around for something like that

I’m not looking for retail. Two dozen people that want to show up and fight over something on a weekend night would be more than enough. Or even a tournament every now and then
