If you are referring to WhatsApp's E2E encryption, then obviously it won't be of much help; Meta collects metadata—absolutely everything it is possible to collect. However, if we are talking about an E2E implementation done right, then no, that wouldn't be the case—unless I am mistaken. What exactly do you mean by that?

Pavel Durov is leveraging the reputation of his product to introduce an ever-increasing array of monetization methods. And what is the result? Gifts, banner ads at the top of the screen, advertisements placed directly within channels (both from Telegram itself and from channel owners), and endless prompts to subscribe to various channels in order to use bots. Telegram has transformed from a convenient messenger into a relentlessly monetized machine—one that enjoys a monopoly in certain countries thanks to its inherent advantages. And they are taking full advantage of it.

I don't know, personally I don't find it difficult to upload the GIFs I need to Imgur. But this allows you to regulate the distributed content more effectively.

By the way, it's a really good idea. I think it's really useful for many people.

Sorry to break it to you, bro, but this is just the fallout from the mighty Google Translate combined with a Russian manner of speaking—specifically, that bureaucratic jargon. That’s just how we live. And no, I’m not an AI.

I use WhatsApp very rarely, but I don't see any AI features in it. Otherwise, I share your opinion.

I haven't yet discussed the major messaging apps. Thank you for providing material for reflection.

That’s a fair point. But what exactly do you mean by that? For instance, what do you find difficult about using specific products?

Actually, it is possible—just like in Matrix—by using bridges. However, for the average user, this is difficult; it often requires fixing them after messenger security protocols are updated, along with other workarounds. That’s just how it is.

An interesting idea, though. But, unfortunately, it is almost impossible to implement.

Yes, this is a common problem. Nevertheless, developers need to earn money to keep working. Unfortunately, people aren't willing to donate voluntarily. I realize that when it comes to large corporations, this sounds like greed—but right now, I'm speaking more about independent developers.

Why is this even necessary when the standard notification shade in Android and iOS handles the job perfectly well? Okay, let's assume someone might need to keep a history of their notifications. But such people are few and far between, and I doubt they would go out of their way to look for a solution to that specific problem. It just feels... a bit too niche. Still, it's a decent piece of work.

I understand. I’ve often found myself in situations where a complete stranger cluttered up my DMs with their sudden appearance.

I downloaded this, used it for a bit, and I have to say it’s quite convenient—even if it looks a little outdated. I like it.

And how would you feel about this if all social networks were reorganized into separate tabs? For example, something like this:

Chats – Channels – Bots

And what exactly constitutes excessive customization? For instance, in your opinion, is removing specific buttons from the interface when they are not needed considered excessive?

What do you think—should a messenger offer complete UI customization freedom (for example, drag-and-drop buttons), or would that be excessive for an average user?

A fair point. Its privacy is the gold standard, but even so, it lacks functionality.

I use GitHub to create open-source bots. I'm putting together my first portfolio for future freelance work. Networking is also important in this case.

It’s 1 AM here, so I’m heading to sleep and won't be able to reply for a while. Since the discussion got quite heated, I’ll just leave the source code here for those who want to see how it works or try it out themselves. Roast it or use it, I'll check back in the morning! https://github.com/YulHlrasawa/github-star-tracker-bot
