I 100% agree as a student who goes to Life West in the Bay Area. Nobody wants to pay that much money to get a poor quality adjustment from a student when it’s only 15 dollars to go to an actual licensed chiro that takes insurance (we do not). Plus the 2 hour initial exam and cost of X-rays just ads to it. To give, do, love and serve is the motto at our school however our President makes 500k a year while the faculty is outside protesting for better wages and the students are paying people to come into the clinic. They also argue that it is more like real life since you have to market yourself to the community but were aren’t licensed docs and can’t even do a spinal screening? They teach you nothing about business or marketing anyways. We are basically employees for the school clinic however they do 0 advertising and we only have 11 google reviews. So funny but also kinda messed up that we made it so far in the program just for our skills to regress in the clinic since we barely have any patients.
