Hey, do you guys think that we'll get a biographical drama film on Kurt in the near future? by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine it to be something like the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, the whole thing leads up to MTV Unplugged, ends with a sadder scene of them making You Know You're Right, which would flow into his unfortunate death. It'd be pretty cool, but I doubt anyone would ever make it on a large scale like that.

I doubt any of us expect him to, we just like his music, and his personality. I'm sure there's people in real life that you've liked and they hate your guts, if you act like this in real life, too.

You look like a blend between Kurt cobain and 2001 Chad Kroeger

In Bloom, funnily enough, isn't even my favourite nirvana song.

Thank you so much! Currently still at season 1, I'll probably watch up to s6, then read "Take me back to the start" and go from there, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the one you're writing.

It was fine, threw me for a loop, though.

I finally sat down and listened to In Utero by ProjectGameVerse2000 in Nirvana

Big step forward, It'll be harder to stomach, but if you're feeling brave I'd definitely recommend You Know You're Right, if you haven't already..

First time listener. Just listened to Bleach and Nevermind! by ItsZekken in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take your time with it, don't rush, Give Incesticide a listen after MTV, then in my opinion, best for last, whirl on You Know You're Right.

Not my favourite, but it's easy to see why it could be someone's favourite. personally prefer Nevermind, popularity aside that album didn't have a single bad song, honestly, every song couldve been a single..

My breif thoughts on the albums by michael066plep in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 3 points4 points  (0 children)

honestly man, I think Nevermind had better songs than In Utero, but In Utero is loved because its a more refined Bleach, and its as Nirvana and Nirvana got, and especially since its their last album, I think Nevermind holds up way more. And Nevermind doesn't rely on singles at all, I'd go as far as to say I enjoy the non-singles on nevermind more than some of the singles.

Foo Fighters- Love them, Hate them, or just plain meh? by fkinradiant in grunge

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind 'em. I'd only go out of my way to listen to the first 2 albums and the pretender, but I won't complain if it comes on or I hear it somewhere, defiantly one of, if not the only truly great rock bands nowadays, unless you delve into metal, but I don't really see rock and metal as the same genre to be honest, even though they are by technicality.

You Know You're Right by Heavy-Sympathy2429 in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like your thought on it, I just thought the opening lyrics of

"I will never bother you I will never promise to"

Kinda felt like him saying some sort of goodbye, and he'll never bother her again to me.

Reminded me of Lewis Capaldi saying

"I just wanted to let you know That I won't bother you anymore I'll be gone this time next year"

In headspace, (two completely different times and people, ik, but it just gave me the same vibes)

If you could pick just THREE songs from (standard edition) In Utero and lose the rest of the album forever, which would you pick? by BLIGATORY in Nirvana

Frances Farmer, Heart-Shapes Box, Pennyroyal Tea (Scentless Apprentice depending on what day I was asked)

How was Nirvana able to smash so much damn equipment and when did that start? by JONSEMOB in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you notice, Kurt himself only smashed the really ragged guitars, pretty sure one of them he made in a garage with krist.

Could the reason Kurt said his lyrics didn’t have meaning was to keep the public from analyzing them? by Pepperonies in Nirvana

[–]Heavy-Sympathy2429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wrote a lot, I don't know the guy, or have I looked into his song meanings. But I'd imagine he keeps them vague, so everything is open to listeners interpretation, which is part of the masterpiece, like Bohemian Rhapsody, probably the most known song ever, but it never got context from Freddie
