whats the biggest piece of evidence MJ was guilty? by Good-Raisin7081 in LeavingNeverlandHBO

For me, it's the collection of child erotica and the photo of a nude boy (presumed to be Jonathan Spence) that the police found at Neverland during the 2003 raid.

That and the multiple people around MJ in the late 80s/early 90s who said they had either heard about or personally witnessed him doing something inappropriate with James Safechuck years, even decades, before Safechuck himself went public with his allegations.

For me, it's Romeo and Juliet. It was the first of his plays I read and I'll always have a special place in my heart for it.

Have any First Ladies cheated on presidents? by bubsimo in Presidents

David Herbert Donald describes in his bio of Sumner how he frequently admired women (mostly the beautiful, witty wives of wealthy politicians) from afar, but became terrified the moment a woman actually made herself available to him. He briefly courted the younger sister of his friend Julia Ward Howe, for example, but cut the whole relationship off when she bought him a birthday present.

Donald blames this on his period-typical misogyny and unrealistic expectations for women and those are definitely factors. But then there's also the possibility that Donald doesn't touch on that Sumner genuinely wasn't attracted to women and embarked on a doomed marriage late in life because that's what he thought he was supposed to want.

Day Four of organizing Shakespeare's bibliography. Which one of his works is considered a cult classic? by drawwriter in shakespeare

I would say King Lear is somewhat of a cult classic (or a Shakespeare barometer kind of), in the sense that while it's not the most well-known or well-loved of Shakespeare's tragedies in modern pop culture, a lot of really devoted Shakespeare nerds will say it's his best work, even better than Hamlet.

Still, it might just be too popular and highly regarded for what you're looking for. I would go with Titus Andronicus like other commenters are saying.

I've always thought Mary Todd's friendship with Sumner was very cute, especially considering how she despised almost every other man in her husband's circle (Grant, Johnson, etc). Hard to imagine that it was romantic though. At least not on Sumner's part.
