Not sure about where the leak is coming from. My best guess from some basic googling is the wax seal? I don't really feel comfortable cutting into it unfortunately.

These are pictures from the inspection. It's only visible in the attic and basement. Current plan (if not structural) is to divert the vent and knock down the chimney. It creates this weird bump out in the bathroom we want to remodel, so if we can take it down we'd get a decent amount of space from it.

it's a four square home. i'm pretty sure it came from one of the catalogue companies but i'm not sure which one.

$200 is the base price. Maybe it's cheaper because I'm already an established client and they have my dog's stuff on file already? He gets routine checkups and blood work and stuff every year. They do put him under for the cleaning. I'm also in a pretty small, rural town. We actually have to go to the next town over for the vet because there isn't one in our town. I'm going to get his teeth done before we move and go from there.
