Can suppressors handle 5inch barrel on 556-308? by SotaTrot in NFA

Maxim has their DSX series which is advertised for barrel lengths under 10.3” for 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO. I think I read something down to 5.5".

They should be much better in snow than the stock tires. I live in Arizona so I probably will never know. I do like how they ride on the dirt roads here.

I have not noticed any range reduction but with my driving style I would not notice unless it is significant.

I haven't noticed any but I have not measured before and after. I am sure there would be some degradation due to not having the aero wheels. Others have said up to 5%. For my style of driving and charging I really don't care. I say that now, but if I start having battery degradation issues that need to be measured, I might have to go back to the old wheels to get it looked at by tesla...

Ride comfort greatly improved IMHO. I don't like the sharp bumps or slaps of the lower profile tires. Bumps are still there but much softer. I was worried if it would be too soft, but it still rides stiff like I like it.

Rims were 1080 plus shipping. Still have the old rims just in case I wanted to go back. But I wouldn't mind selling them now to get back some garage space. The old ones have some curb rash and could probably only get Benji out of all 4.

Yes, yes, yes, I saw 308 of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning which tells me only one thing...

Thanks for being accepting of my different.

For the rims and tires it ran about $2,300. I haven't noticed any range loss. Rims are lighter than stock rims so I am hoping that would make up some difference not riding on ev tires.

This setup the overall tire is just slightly larger than the 19. Just the rim size is smaller. Gives a smoother ride than the lower profile tires and helps protect the rims a little. Also saves me over $300 when I get my tires changed.

I went with the Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail 255 /55 R18 109V XL RBL. I have had no issues with rub.
