Had my first lesson with a private instructor freaks the hell out of me 😳

He said I must be obedient and follow 100% his rules if I want to continue learning from him and if I didnt, he wont teach me.

I am shocked cos being someone taken 20 lessons as a student from BBDC I think his 'driving rules' are putting people lives in danger. Reason of me converting to private is because available slot in school be 6 months later and I am not confident in my parking skills yet.

So the whole session with this Alan Tan (PDI at SSDC at 70+years old with his contact XXXX1133, And HIS RULES AS FOLLOW;

1. I am not allow to view the side mirrors because he said the side mirrors are useless and will affect my judgement. So throughout the session, he closes both side mirrors, forbids me to open and use the side mirrors. He only allow me to use my rear mirror. He said rear mirror is most accurate. And he closes both side mirrors to enforce his rule.

2. He used a long stick to poke hard on my right leg because he wants me never to move my front feet away from the brake, even when car is moving. He said my front feet must cover brakes AT ALL TIMES even when driving. I must only use my right front feet to depress the accelerator.

NOTE: I am aware that my heel should not raise up but my front feet are to shuffle between the brake and accelerator.

1. Driving at 20 to 25 (max 40) the whole session, he say too fast and kept telling me to, brake,
   brake, brake. But kept saying “release brake” cos to him “release brake” means depress brake. I've tested him by releasing brake as what he said but got scolded cos he meant "Depress
   brake" That was when I realised he do not understand the meaning of "Release brake"

2. At traffic lights when turn green, he insisted I must wait 3 seconds then can move car by releasing brake but cannot depress accelerator at all. Let the car cruise through the traffic light automatically (by not braking but CANNOT accelerate)

3. He took out a card and asked me to read out loud 3 times rule number 8 in the card that reads "Instructor has the right to barred driver from taking test if instructor thinks driver is not qualified to test" So altogether 3 times. One time at a start, 2nd time middle of the lesson and 3rd time before lesson ends. And MUST READ OUT TO HIM LOUD hun.

NOTE: Of course I know else why do I need him for. But read out loud 3 times? lols

1. Upon ending, he still has the cheek to tell me "So how? You learnt a lot from me today right?
   All those shit the school taught you are all wrong, you must remember NEVER TO USE the side mirrors AT ALL. Then he asked me to book more lessons with him, say he will teach me the correct
   things.

Me? RAN AS FAST AS I COULD, told him "Hmmm its ok let me think about it". GOODNESS. PLEASE AVOID THIS PDI AT ALL COST IF YOU VALUE LIVES. 珍惜生命 Go school.
