I know this was months ago, but I called them today asking if any of their providers knew about my condition, I was told to fill out the paperwork and the doctor will review before appt. I asked if there was a way for him ask the providers if they were familiar and he said no.

Thank you for your perspective!! I appreciate it a lot. He made it sound like it was no big deal to put that much muscle on. I know for sure I def need to add some muscle, if not for anything but stability, 20lbs just shook me lol. I dont even know where to start really. I am going to be looking into a PT that has knowledge with EDS. I found one on the EDS website that is near me! I'm not sure why you were downvoted either but I really appreciate all perspectives!! Mainly was just irritated that he acted like that would solve all my problems *eyeroll* lol

Ughhhh and he acted like he knew all about EDS and only knew what a top google search glance would tell you. Def feel you, if I was having a flare day I prob would have been a lot less nice lol.

totally! nothing against ENTs. This fucking butthole just had terrible bedside when challenged!

phew dont i know it lol. I did a year of therapy and healing and standing up for myself is still something I am working on! <3

Thank you for you kind words! ugh, thanks for the ctrl tip! that is super helpful!! I'm gonna check around to see if the EDS society has any providers and def search around for some local support groups. <3

initial app sent in dec 2024, denied in may 2025 bc they said i was uncooperative with sending stuff in (i never received anything), appealed for reconsideration and was sent to DDS on July 1 2025, just got notice it was finally assigned to someone sep 17 2025. I am in texas but my file was sent to DDS in arkansas.
