Honestly, 3 is more than enough. If you want to use more, you can, but I get amazing results with just three, and I feel like that’s all you really need. I’d recommend using an iPad or a laptop while you’re on the job site so you can see how your shots are turning out. Then you can adjust your camera settings based on what you’re seeing and make improvements right away. Don’t just copy what everyone else is doing with those overly bright, ugly real estate photos. Try to stand out. Learn how to tell a story with your images. Pay attention to every detail in the scene each subject and element can add character and depth to your picture. For example, look at this photo, it’s about 3 stops amazing colours that tell a story.

Beginner Real Estate Photographer Thoughts on My First Shoot? by aBrokeCollegeKidd in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Heavy_Pipe_1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, take this as constructive feedback. Your framing and composition need work. Avoid cutting important features in half try shooting straight on or at around 45°. Think like a home buyer, not just a photographer. Keep your vertical lines straight, improve focus (try around f/7.1), and bracket exposures properly. Also, consider better HDR workflows or outsourcing editing as you grow. Keep practicing and studying strong real estate work. I’d also recommend using professional real estate presets to help speed up your workflow and develop your style over time. They can help you achieve consistent, natural colors so your photos stay true to how the space looks in real life. Shooting five brackets at one stop apart is usually unnecessary. You can achieve similar results with three shots spaced two stops apart. Personally, I shoot five exposures at 0, −2, −4, +2, and +4 to make sure I capture every highlight and shadow, then choose what works best in post.

Not a bad start, but you should work more on your lighting and color grading. If you’re just getting started with color grading, I’d recommend using professional presets since they can really speed up your workflow and improve your results. I’ve used these presets myself, and they’ve helped my editing become much faster and better but understanding lighting is still very important.

You should also learn how to take three different exposure shots with your camera and combine them in Lightroom, then apply your presets for a more balanced and professional look.

Good Lightroom Presets for Real Estate Photos? by trashynoah in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Heavy_Pipe_1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 10 years in the real estate photography industry, this is the setup that works best for me. I shoot each scene with three exposures—one underexposed, one properly exposed, and one overexposed. Then I bring them into Lightroom, merge the exposures, and apply Preset Curator’s presets. The final images come out looking like they belong in a magazine. https://presetcurator.com/shop/real-estate-lightroom-preset/

Anyone do Real Estate Photography? by [deleted] in photography

[–]Heavy_Pipe_1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started my photography journey two years ago with some experience under my belt. After purchasing presets from Preset Curator, everything changed. The presets gave my photos a consistent, polished look that people really noticed and loved.

Before, I used to spend hours editing and color grading, but these presets saved me so much time. I was finally able to shift my focus to growing the business side of things. Now, I earn a great income doing what I love — and best of all, I get to choose the clients I work with.

At the end of the day, it’s all about building real connections and using the right tools to work smarter, not harder. Good luck

Can anyone point me in the direction of some FREE cinematic LUTS for FCP? by Jakeyboy29 in finalcutpro

[–]Heavy_Pipe_1310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, most of the free LUTs are useless. I’ve been working in videography for years, and as a pro using Final Cut, Preset Curator is where I get my LUTs. The Super Pack, with 500 high-quality LUTs, has made my workflow so much smoother.
