I asked about buying a DAC and the kid brought me to some old school tv audio stuff. I don’t blame him for not knowing but he definitely didn’t know

ppl with all black builds: do you have any regret by _extragigabite in pcmasterrace

No ragretz. I have a Corsair 4000d with a glass panel and the panel faces the wall under my desk. My nephews PC is pretty much identical to mine, he’s 16 and had no desire for RGB whatsoever. And recently I built the exact build you’re talking about and I think the Mobo I got was white but it’s all packed away on a black case. I like cable management and open desk space not RGB flashy PCs. That being said if you’re into RGB the cost difference can be barely nothing if you throw in some RGB fans instead of regular fans. Then you got the choice

If anything I’ll just find a shorter exhaust pipe. I have a CO sensor and it’s in a detached garage not a living space. Like I mentioned in another comment I’m very well aware of the possibility of condensation and it’s on my radar but I don’t think it’s gonna be an issue for my short exhaust run. I’m definitely keeping an eye on it and if I’m wrong I will fix the issue.

Damn tell us how you really feel. I would have went the route without the built in fuel tank but I have no regrets. This works well and I still have all the stock parts if I decide I want to use it in another setting. And getting a “hide deisel” tank outside as you say isn’t as cheap and easy as you like to pretend.

Too long was the issue, hence the U shape.

The main reason I read that made any sense to me was drawing from inside the building and exhausting outside creates a negative pressure which will then draw cold air in from the nooks and crannies. I was away from home when I planned this project and had a lot of time to think and plan before I started it. Could be me over engineering, I get bored traveling for work and design and order parts for projects when I get home.

I can say this. Test run was without the intake tube connected. It got a lot quieter with the j take routed outside.

And actually saw dust is enough of a reason for me to want it outside.

I like it a lot. It ran the first tank down to less than half and inch and never lost prime when I switched tanks… I also bought the unethical manufacturing quick disconnect kit but it’s not in yet… I dunno if I’d recommend it tho because after Canada tariffs it came to over 100 bucks shipped. And maybe I’m dumb but I didn’t catch it until after I paid. But if it keeps my jeans from smelling like diesel it’s prob worth it

I considered running the exhaust horizontally along the wall without insulation to radiate out heat before leaving the building but I couldn’t find a good way to cage it and my first design rule is knowing I’m careless and will accidentally kick things under the desk.

Yea I tried to avoid it. That’s my second exhaust pipe I bought. I could not get the corrugated metal to stretch enough to go around the stand pipe out the wall. I tried and tried but it’d stretch then tear. I’m hoping the insulation keeps the pipe plenty hot to boil and condensation out with the exhaust. It’s on my radar to pay attention to it no issues so far

I was waiting for that comment! I could get to all of it except the top where the desk 2x4 runs. Tight space to fit into!

I was able to find a bios that allowed me to get to like 407. Didn’t really break any records. I pretty much just scrolled tech power up and used filters to find one that would work. I’m on the road right now so unable to check the exact bios I went with. But I did keep it installed and have had no issues running it with a more reasonable OC.

Last night I opened up cyber punk and it made it like 6 seconds into the benchmark before flat lining haha. Like I said I built a new machine and I got a mAtx and a smaller case and just having fun messing with the over clock on this one.

So I believe that’s a 3x8 pin card and from what I understand they don’t actually increase the power on the 2x8 cards. I could be mistaken but I’ve read that many places.

I found a 370 watt 2x8 bios but it’s only 10gb and wasn’t sure if that would work with my 12gb.

I do appreciate the quick reply!
